I know you are a bit of a dunce but once a dog starts going, it's instinct. And wouldn’t stop after being hacked with machetes and butcher knives?

You can snap them out usually (dont know these pits) the guy seemed scared so he poked them. He should have commenced to hacking off legs and across the neck. For our dobermans that used to lock up spraying a water hose up yhe nose would usually get them to release. I know these are pits but eventually you hack off enough to make a difference.I know you are a bit of a dunce but once a dog starts going, it's instinct.
I assumed it would be a Golden Retriever as soon as I read the title. Who would have thought it would be a pit bull? Big surprise!Did anybody else know what kind of dog it was before opening the thread?
I have a pitbull owner and aside from when he was still growing up and trying to find his role in his 'pack' he's been a great dog. Gets along with our bully, plays well with the kids etc. I think ANY dog that was grown up in a home where abuse is going on, it will bring out aggressiveness much like a human. You can snap them out usually (dont know these pits) the guy seemed scared so he poked them. Only an ex meth head could justify angrily his right to own a mutant creature (fabricated by man, no less) that could reasonably snap at any point and kill people.
Low brow breeds for low brow peeps. All theatre and contrarianism, wrapped up with the "who the fuck are you to tell me what I can and can't own" attitude to package it nicely. The corner stone of any toddler logic.

Concession accepted.Ooh fancy, did you get that from Google?

Baycliff, Texas
A Texas man was fatally mauled by his own dogs Sunday evening as a neighbor fought desperately to save him, according to authorities and multiple local outlets.
Deputies with the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office responded around 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 12 to reports of a dog attack in unincorporated Bacliff, the agency shared in a press release. Witnesses told deputies that two pit bull–type dogs belonging to the victim were actively attacking him in his yard.
When deputies arrived, one of the dogs was still latched onto the man’s arm. “In an effort to stop the attack and protect the victim, a deputy discharged his firearm, striking the dog in the center mass,” the sheriff’s office said in the release. The animal released the victim and retreated to a corner of the yard.
The victim — identified by KHOU 11, WCNC, and The Galveston County Daily News as Jose “Eddie” Castillo, 45 — was transported to HCA Houston Clear Lake and was later pronounced dead.
“It was just a horrific experience for sure,” Jesus Excontitta, Castillo’s neighbor, told KHOU 11. “I’ve never seen anything like that before.”
Excontitta broke a machete while trying to intervene, per KHOU 11, ABC13 Houston and WCNC, before grabbing a butcher knife and continuing to stab one of the animals in an effort to stop the attack.
“He was crying, pleading, and I’m just, ‘Sorry, Eddie,’ and stabbing the dog and poking and poking and poking,” Excontitta said.
“My brother had stabbed it several times with the machete and then with the butcher knife and it wouldn’t stop,” Shaine Starrett, Excontitta’s sister, told KHOU 11, adding that she called 911 as the attack continued.
The sheriff's office said Galveston County Animal Control took custody of both dogs, which were later euthanized because of the extent of their injuries.
Officials added in the release that deputies “never want to harm an animal, but in this case, immediate action was necessary in an attempt to protect the victim’s life.”
This was right down the road from me. I've always said these dogs are very quirky. But dont see too many breeds that will kill the owner. Should we sterilize the breed and outlaw breeding new ones? Im not saying euthanize any existing but just let them die out? I have known some sweet pits but if the breed went away I wouldn't much care either.
Yeah I almost tagged you. I've known some sweet pits but they do seem to be an odd breed with some of this stuff.Right down the road...
A few people in the local Seabrook FB group knew the guy
Just horrible
As my dad used say about anything that could be a problem... and owning pitbull type dogs fits the saying
"It's never a problem... until its a problem" - Meaning anything dangerous might not be issue, even if you're careful... until something happens
And I don't give a fuck how "safe" and "gentle" owners say these dogs are
Most dogs can't actually bite your face off and kill you if they decide to aggressive, whatever the reason. And it only takes once for a pitbull to get aggressive and you're lucky to get away with only serious maiming. Like playing Russian roulette
And pitbulls attack people at rates 10x more than any other breed of dog
I get it. And ive known some sweet pits. Lots of peeps mistreat their animals and the animal remains loving. That's why we love dogs. And look I'm not really that attached to any breed so when I say just kind of let It fade away I don't mean euthanizing all the existing ones. My question was just if we let this breed die off would it be better.I have a pitbull owner and aside from when he was still growing up and trying to find his role in his 'pack' he's been a great dog. I had pit bulls loved them very much , I won’t ever be convinced of any kind of banning. Better dog owners , absolutely. More people die of drug overdoses, car crashes ect. Need more resources to go helping those fatalities
It is an easy yes to your last question. They do nothing useful that another type of dog cannot do itself.I get it. And ive known some sweet pits. Perhaps but I really think that's punishing the minority, but the majority also suffer. Just my two cents though, maybe the victim was a real good dog owner, but I have yet to read that. It's just pitbulls attack and kill owner which is very unfortunate to read and puts an even worse stereotype on what's already a bad stereotype on the breed.I get it. And ive known some sweet pits. No, but seriously, next time choose better. Few hundred options better suited for everybody that will still satiate that void from your lack of human companionship just as well.
