Do you have examples or stories to support this? UK has laws that if a social media post offends someone, it is investigated by the police and can and usually will lead to charges

It doesn’t matter if they forcefully raped her or not. A 14 year old can not give consent to someone over the age of 18 and especially not when intoxicated and you have the filming of the sex act to contend with as well. And it doesn’t matter if the story is old or not-it happened and the judge deserves to be called out repeatedly

So you want to remove the Supreme Court and most judges in the country? Ideology can't be separated from justice.

I think allowing judges to be removed midterm is too big a risk, but all judges (including the Supreme Court) should probably just be appointed or elected to a single term of 10 or 12 years, with no possibility for reappointment.

they were imprisoned for at least 5 years and after that held in detention by immigration

what do you want? girl knew them and went to several parties with them
obviously this story isnt black and white as you make it seem

What part of a 14 year old can’t have consensual sex with someone over 18 and neither can an unconscious person. What part of making a child porn video don’t you understand? Lots of serious charges and they basically got less than five years for a brutal assault where she was too unconscious to push them away effectively. But the video reportedly shows her trying to struggle.

Well it certainly matters in terms of what the judge can to sentence them for. Which is what you seem to be complaining about.

I think the poster who called you out is correct. You don't even know the basics of the case and were just going by a single link, of which, you either didn't read, or, deliberately left out information that would affect sentencing. If the court didn't find evidence of force, then 1st degree is off the table and you can't just bring the hammer down because of feelings.

If you want the sentences to be harsher, then your problem is with the legislature.
