Underwhelming. Sarah Connor doesn't seem as cool as before. The good Terminator looks lame AF. The villain is a CW network TV tier actor. And then they feel the need to shove it in our faces how the good terminator is so bad ass and always beating the crap out of the villain. Lame.

Arnold only got 1 second in the trailer.

I know Tim Miller and James Cameron said they wanted to show these recent woke films how real feminism is done....so I am still hopeful. But in 2019 I'm just thinking enough is enough

Would it have killed them to just have John Connor as a protagonist? Really?? Terminator Salvation done right under a competent director would have been incredible.

The first 10mins in Salvation was the right direction. Storm the underground base / helicopter crash scene and legless Terminator beating on Christian Bale was well filmed and suspenseful. After that.. well you know..

Not happy.

I was raised on T2. The CGI looks weak. I’m tired of everything being filmed on bright sunny days. How about rain? Night time?

There are plenty of movies that film in the dark moody atmospheres, but the newer ones suffer from the same problem. They're too clean and artificial. Daylight scenes aren't the problem. Just look at the trailer park desert scene in T2. It looks grimy and authentic. It doesn't look like it was cleaned up in a lab, where every grain of sand is pristine. Or how 'bout "Predator"? Great scenes in broad daylight. There's something about a lot of these movies today that just look phony, because they're so cleaned up. They look like controlled sets, which really hurts the experience when trying to suspend your disbelief.

Exactly. I was in the theatre so excited thinking finally we are at war with the terminators! And it turned into this soulless bland sub par love / action movie.

They already did a evil female terminator long time ago, I have no problem with a good female terminator. It makes sense logically to have female terminators because people tend to drop their guard more around women but terminator performance do not suffer from gender design.

I am hoping James Cameron can work his magic.
