So Skynet has sent back multiple terminators in order to prevent John Conor and his lieutenants from winning Judgement Day

Skynet and their Terminators never succeed.....

You would think that because of this Skynet would stop sending Terminators back in time because to Skynet it is a waste of resources

Why wouldn't Skynet just decide to come up with a new plan

You can't answer any of these questions because the plot/story of Terminator was never supposed to last this long

Skynet has become incompetent and a parody of itself

Dude even T2 was a stretch. It's just a 10/10 movie so you can forgive the plot being silly. Now they can't make good movies like that anymore and these movies are just eating themselves.

I mean you can't make 8 or 10 movies with a concept that includes a grandfather paradox. Or you get this nonsense.

One of the main reason why Gensis was bad was because the trailer spoiling John Connor being a robot.

Now they reveal the "main" female as a robot again in trailer? So they don't learn do they? Or are they trying to pull a MCU? CGI looks like crap as always.

I'll reserve my judgment until I actually watched the film, but the trailer sucked.

Doesn't look that good, but it might have some decent scenes. Everyone slams T3 but I liked the chase scene and watching the Terminator's fight. This one makes them seem like they don't have any weight to them though.

Yeah I want to see Terminators making surprised faces when they get picked up by the dick and hit in the head with toilets.

For this kind of movie, i much preferred this style.

Man, that was so visceral and intense, great to see that scene again. T2 was the best movie theatre experience of my life when I was a kid and I don't think anything has ever topped that since then. Seeing how they've been mangling the franchise since then is just revolting. Casting a dope like that for the terminator is like they're purposefully picking the worst possible guy and it's just pure incompetence.

It seems people are more riled up because of the girls than the movie itself. I for one liked the idea of a humanized cyborg. It's a cool premise imo but whether the movie itself will be good is another story. I'll reserve judgment for now.

No. It's how the girls are used. It looks soulless, and stupid. We were supposed to get back to the look and feel of T1-T2 here.. Did we do that? No. Does it look like a modern crap movie that sadly pushed everybody to cheesy comic book movies because they are sadly better made than the other crap movies? Yes.

I didn't see any spoilers or trailers, and if I hadn't been with people I would have just left when that plot twist was revealed. I played with my phone for the last 45 mins, something I have never done before or since in a movie. That's how annoyed i was with what was happening on the screen.

My mind subconsciously took steps to make sure I saw as little of that mess as possible.

Not happy.

I was raised on T2. The CGI looks weak. I’m tired of everything being filmed on bright sunny days. How about rain? Night time? What made T2 so special was the soundtrack. The military/industrial theme of snare drums and pipes hitting metal. Why are you revealing the villain and what he’s capable of in the trailer?

Whatever happened to a secretive approach and let people speculate?

With all that said I’ll be first in line as per usual anything Terminator related. I also miss that stand up arcade machine gunning down T-800’s with my brother as my dad kept giving us quarters to keep continuing.

Ok I may be in the minority here but Linda Hamilton was one fo the only believable female action leads, in my mind Sarah Connor, Ripley and Vasquez make up the holy trinity of female action heroes.

Hopefully she can pull it off.

That said the movie looks like another CGI shitfest. Practical effects are what made Terminator awesome.

“Vasquez” is in Terminator 2 playing John’s foster mom “Janelle”

It's a retread of previous ideas in the series. It's not new or original or interesting because we have seen it before

The T-1000 was not completely aware of the T-800 capabilities

When the T-1000 'Kills" the T-800 the T-1000 was not aware of the alternate power source that the T-800 had

I like how they can't even bother with makeup and practical effects at all now. The endoskeleton is completely CG even with the closeups. It's so lazy and hackish.

Imagine making a serious sci-fi horror movie with a good story, brutal action and a scary Terminator? This is just more Genesys which I thought the entire point was to get away from.

This movie is not about John Connor or Sarah Connor

The Terminator is not after them

The Terminator is after that Spanish girl and lesbian Terminator is her protector

So pretty much what that the movie is telling us is that John Connor is not important anymore AKA white male hero is not important
