Arnold is a piece of shit

Washed up hack who hasn't been in a good movie since the 90's

Him being in a movie actually makes it worse

He has done his share of stinkers over the last number of years, but he is generally the high point of movies like Escape Plan and Genisys. Without him, those two would have been an abomination and an even worse abomination. He tried his best to pull Genisys out of the fire and he was the only good thing about Escape Plan.

Aftermath, Sabotage and Maggie were all decent over the last handful of years.

And Terminator Salvation was turrible. Come on guys. What makes terminator so amazing is they have like 2 minutes of footage of the future, and that combined with Kyle Reese completely sells you on this awesome, dark future dystopia.

Two Hours. Salvation had TWO. HOURS. To show us a vision of that future world. And it is so fucking bland and boring. Not scary, not tense, not atmospheric. Just bland as fuck. They even got Bale and they just wasted him. Probably the worst movie I've ever seen him in. If it wasn't for that abortion Genysis it would easily be the worst in the series.
Salvation started off cool with the helicopter crashing and the terminator missing its torso attacking John. Then like you said everything was bland. A lot of it shot during the day. Like no. Where’s the element of sneaking around at night trying to avoid being detected.

This movie would thrive for the hardcore fans if they went a horror movie direction. But it’s all about reaching a large audience for the summer “block buster”.

Now I know why you cry...

Yes Arnie now you know.

Actually, this is incorrect. Salvation absolutely did not show us "that" future that we saw in T1 and T2. The future world we saw in T:S was nothing like James Cameron's vision of the post-apocalyptic future. It was bland as all hell and portrayed literally all wrong. Everything about it was off and wrong for a Terminator movie.

Yeah I mean that's what I'm saying. That's WHY it's bad.....

The visions of a the post apocalyptic future shown in T1 and T2 were re-written by T2. They may have ultimately failed to stop Skynet but they shifted the future. It literally couldn't have been "literally all wrong".

Salvation was pretty disappointing but their version of the future was pretty damned good. The new attack models were awesome. The fear and paranoia were convincing as hell.

Honestly, to me, I think the last movie he made that I really enjoyed was Jingle All The Way. Since then it's been pretty much a giant shit-show with one bad movie after another. There's maybe a couple decent ones since Jingle......but only merely decent.

On the flip side, leading up to and including Jingle All The Way, it's almost as if it was impossible for him to make a bad movie.

Do we blame the shit-show that Hollywood has become for this, or Arnold himself? Or both?

They can't be serious...

I’ll watch it. I’ve seen all of them, even though the first two are the only ones that matter.
