I have to be honest though, I didn't even realize Hamilton was still working. I can't remember the last time I even heard her name if it wasn't connected to a Terminator discussion.

It's not a franchise. It is two movies and that is all. It is over. James Cameron no longer exists either.

Yeah - maybe after T2, John figured that, well, they prevented judgement day, no need to get all buff and become the resistance leader now. He ends up sitting on his ass a lot, eating old school Doritos and drinking a lot of RC Cola while hacking mid-90's 28k modems and listening to GnR . Then one day, he finds out they didn't prevent judgement day, and he now must get in shape to save the world.

Cue work out montage.

I hear this all the time .....then I look around at all the fat fuck , 30+ bmi, double chinned 40 -60 year old dudes out there and its obvious that while maybe age doesnt wear as quickly on guys , its only IF you do the right things.

But let me try something here:

John Connor literally has the weight of the entire world on his shoulders; he was told from a young age the machines will rise and end mankind and he is literally the saviour.

What do you think that would do to a person really? All that pressure, all that expectation. What do you think it would do to a big momma's boy?

You'd crack, you'd crumble under the pressure, the burden of this. You'd self destruct, become a self loathing, self doubting mess.

And you'd end up like this

It could be a story of JC's redemption and living up to being the saviour of mankind.

So Furlong could start the movie looking like the tub of crap he looks here, but redeem himself and fulfill his destiny and become awesome.

But still a fat tub of shit.

Bale looks like a leader, and it really isn't because of muscles. He just has a leader quality about him. And john connor has to have that. If furlong doesn't have that, it's nothing personal, but he can't be john connor. Nick stahl also was lacking that. Wow, James Cameron taking on3 or 4 Avitar movies as well as 3 more Terminators.... My man is buzy.

I like the angle of her coming back older & super bad ass... She killed it in T1 & T2 & I'd expect her to kill it again. Of coarse Arnold being back is a treat.

Interesting they said it will mostly star the young actors though. I hope Arnold & Linda get some decent screen time.

The original Terminator is one of the greatest sci fi movies ever. It was done on a low budget and was dark, gritty, well acted. Hamilton was amazing and Michael Biehn showed himself to be one of the best character actors. The soundtrack matched the camera work and I don't recall a more relentless and scary villain upon first viewing ever as Aronold was. I HOPE he doesn't go Avatar on us with the CGI and focus on the characters and action like the first one.
