Indie TERMINATOR 2D: No Fate (Multiplatform) **Halloween 2025

Can’t wait to play this after I finish up Shinobi which releases about a week earlier. Insane how many high quality 2D games are coming out this year. There is Marvel Cosmic Invasion, Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, Shinobi Art of Vengeance, Absolum, Toxic Avengers, The Eternal Life of Goldman, Space Adventure Cobra - The Awakening, Earthion, Neon Inferno, and of course this game. Seriously if you’re a fan of 2D games I recommend looking them up. Last, if you like Contra games pick up Iron Meat. Released last year and it was so fun. One of my favorites indies of 2024.

Game looks good in the new gameplay, would be down for The Thing or Alien to go the same route. I enjoyed the Halloween/Evil Dead retro game, the Terrifier demo was pretty fun for what it was.

Link to confirmed pricing?
On Amazon it’s listed at 59.99 for the day one edition but it comes with some additional stuff. I’m thinking the game itself will cost 39.99 because licensing IP isn’t cheap. This isn’t the first time an indie dev like this charges more for the physical version. Last year there was Evil Dead and Halloween 2D games and the digital versions were cheaper.

I hope more games based on older movies are coming. Aliens like this would awesome.
There’s already Alien Infestation on the DS. Don’t know if it’s any good but it’s a 2D Metroidvania

Yup, sounds like the physical version is $60, supposedly, as you mentioned.
If that's the actual price it'd drive a large portion of the consumer case away until a price-drop..... Unless its both huge for a side-scroller retro game and has a lot of replayability.

Got damn! Ain't no way I'm paying $60 for this type of game. There's probably ~2 hours of total gameplay.
<DisgustingHHH>

I'll hold out until it goes on sale. $39.99 is about the max I feel this type of game is worth.

Looks pretty damn cool, but not 60 bones cool. Even $40 is pushing it but we'll see

$30...maybe $35.

This is an enhanced SNES game, cmon.
hey, even those basic snes games go for that amount of money these days (at least in canada).

im interested in this though. not $90 interested, sadly, but i'll look into it at least. follow this thread for any updates, etc. see what all it has going for it.

Oh absolutely, but I'm typically not a sucker paying highest price on day 1. Sometimes I do when I know what I'm getting, like the Souls games.

I saw info on this game months maybe a year ago, forgot, and now it's back in the news. I'd kick my own ass paying that price because I can simply just wait for it to go down, as we know it will.

That's why i comment on non-new release games a lot in here. I have patience.

And that only happens when suckers (Dizzy) pay that price, praise it, then influence others. If enough people say it's worth it, then likely is, thus not making them suckers in the end.

If it's like a SNES movie licensed game that can be beat in an hour with no replayability, then yes.

However, if it's significantly longer than an hour and can be replayed in various ways.... It may be the asking price.. for digital.

It having the 'Terminator 2' license will only get them so far.

I'm gonna have to see if that price is for real myself. If so, like last of us 2, I'll wait to see what folks say then decide.
