Stranglehold is his most famous riff, and Cat Scratch Fever is not a rip off of Smoke on the Water (which is just Beethovens 5th played backwards)

It has 3 of the same 4th chords but that's. If you become a riff guy like Nugent you are going to come up with thousands of riffs that sound like somebody else that's just the nature of the game.

I heard that happened with Billy Joel twice. Everyone seems to get ripped in the business. Paul Stanley said something like, "you will get ripped off whether you know it or not". Why it's so prevalent? I don't know. If we were all that consistently dishonest in our lives, say stealing every time you went to a store or lifting things from work, we probably wouldn't be able to survive in society. Maybe the music business really is just filled with that many snakes.

Elvis, Prince, MJ, The Beatles, seems no one is exempt from their shenanigans.

good guitar player, couldn't name one of his songs but I saw him play guitar on some show, played the hell out of some chuck berry.

Also, he said something about native americans a few years ago, idiot got immediately canned from the casino circuit. I saw a local billboard, somewhat proudly I guess, saying "Cancelled! Ted Nugent". That being one of the only markets or best markets for washed up rockers that's a big loss.

they don't, I looked up an old, former friend who I knew was broke because his family was doing go fund me's and it listed him as having like a million. It works the other way too, I've seen a few celebs saying that they didn't have near the money those stupid sites say. Muhammad Ali's daughter was one who was saying she didn't have the money someone said, but she's probably just saying that so everyone and their brothers don't ask for money.

Also, fortunes change rapidly sometimes. I knew a guy who I understood to have been a multimillionaire. He got into some issue, never found out because he wouldn't say, maybe taxes, maybe paternity stuff and the goverrnment took everything he had, overnight, with marshal's outside his properties from what I hear.

One thing about money is that people like to spend it so at least sometimes, all these people whining about being ripped off, probably spent most of the money themselves and are just pissed when it's all gone. Boxers do that to promoters a lot but even if they are ripped off, they were idiots with whatever they got too.

At scratch Fever is actually more original than Smoke on the Water LOL........ which h is is just Beethoven 5th inverted . DP even says it an admits they owe Ludwig money if he was alive. Lol.

That said Smike is a much better song and Deep Purple a much better act

I have no idea where the phenomenon of Googling some random celebrities’ net worths comes from, but those sites have no fucking clue irl what these people are worth unless they’ve gone through bankruptcy proceedings and someone went digging through the court filings. In the absence of that these sites don’t know what kind of property these people could own all over the world or what their investment portfolios look like. It’s utter hogwash.

I think they just tally up all known salaries/payments the celebs have received and call that net worth--thus proving they don't know what net worth even means.

I agree B real from cypress hill always has some ridiculously low net worth on those sites but he tours every year for 30 years and owns a lot of marijuana dispensaries across the u.s. it costs like 2 mil just to get a dispensary going in CA. His net worth gets reported as like 10 mil but he is easily worth a lot more than 40 million.
 
He's (in)famous more for his controversial persona than for his music. His songs have barely cracked the top 30 and most not even the top 40.

yup, and they usually don't own up to their own stupidity. Their fans often don't either. It's a problem i had with the Elvis biopic, they made the colonel the reason behind every bad break that Elvis went through when that wasn't true. The colonel did enough without blaming him for everything else that went wrong. Some of the blame belongs to Elvis, some to the idiots he had around him and some to the fans who wouldn't allow him to be a human being.
