Tattoo removal

There on my thighs, and I'd post pics if I had a camera. But they are ugly as hell.

Dude, your thighs should be hidden most of the time so let them be, unless you are running naked outside all the time. If you feel embarrassed while getting laid, it's already too late for the chicks when your pants are down so who cares.

This brought the lols, but the reason is, i won't wear shorts in the summer. Plus it's embarrassing when I go on holiday with the g/f. She's cool about it,but I'm sick off the looks people give me and more importantly her.

i had two tattoos on my throat removed with a laser. i can pretty much tell you how it will happen.

you will go to a consultation, and if you can afford to begin the procedure right away, you will begin right then and there. the person doing the procedure is not a doctor, so you will not be going under. if they provide novacain shots, they hurt like a motherfucker too, but takes the bite out of the lasers. the person will put glasses on you, you will lay there, and they will run this laser over your skin. every time it flashes it will burn a spot of the tattoo. if you choose to not do the novacain shots, then this will be the most extreme pain that you will ever feel in your entire life. the darker the tattoo, the harder the laser zaps it. once it is complete, the person will rub some burn creme on it and then you will be bandaged up. you will have to wear the bandages for a couple days, because now the spots on your skin are severely burned and can not be under sunlight. over the course of the next couple weeks your body will in a way digest the ink, as the laser only broke the pigments up, your body does the rest. you will probably go in every two weeks. it gets easier each time, but for some reason will always cost the same even though they are doing less work each time. imagine that.

you will have to go in multiple times. and it is very expensive.

i had gotten the two tattoos put on for $90. so far I have had two visits to have them lasered off, and it has cost $600 and i probably have one more visit to go.

the tattoos are almost gone.

i can not stress enough that it will be the most painful thing that you will ever experience. i passed a kidney stone once, and that was a walk in the park compared.

funny story, I was thinking of having a tattoo removed but now, I don't think so.

I don't understand why it would hurt so much to remove a tattoo. What exactly happens to the body there?
Getting a tat feels like cat scratching your skin. Getting it laser removed feels like your nerves are on fire. It feels many times worse to the point I now bring a leather strap to bite down on for my sessions, while I could easily nap through a tattoo session.

It also costs a shitload more and I'll probably need a dozen total sessions.

I'd compare the pain to being bitten by fire ants, but at higher intensity over a larger surface.

Yeah, I understand it hurts but I don't understand why it hurts so much. I had an immunity disorder that had much of the skin on my body blistering away from eachother - ie the layers of my skin were separatating - it felt like I was on fire - lasted several weeks and it sounds like that's what the laser feels like.

If so, you're all pussies. I put up with that shit 24/7 for over a month on about a third of my body.

This thread makes me sooo happy I never got any of the dumb tats I've wanted over the years. The removal process seems horrible.

I am getting a tattoo soon..This thread hasn't changed my mind lol. It's only going be a small one on my wrist and it's my first one ever.

Is it to express your individuality?

Yes,I would never get a tattoo to imitate anyone else. It's something that is personal to me,my friends and my family. I will look at it and it will remind me of better times.

Appropriate name to posting style.
