No, drag clubs have always existed and nobody cared. It was when a concerted effort was made to deliver this message in nearly all media and public spaces that people got upset. What private companies choose to do is of little consequence as the free market determines their success. Much like I'm sure people opposed to the practice of giving Bible verses with a meal choose to shop elsewhere, target is free to promote LGBT propaganda and customers are free to shop elsewhere but to make a false equivalence between parents teaching something to their children and public libraries hosting events to teach their children about something else is foolish.

The major retailer has reportedly lost $9 billion over the past week in the wake of the controversial kids' pride section being displayed in several stores.

Last Wednesday — a day before the controversy erupted — Target’s stock closed at $160.96 a share, giving them a market capitalization of $74.3 billion.

As of Thursday morning, shares of the company were trading off 1% at $141.76 — bringing that above number down to $65.3 billion, which is a staggering 12% drop.

The problem is not like it's in the background we can just ignore it, the same movement is pushing on the kids at school at early age without parent's consent.

She often barely has time to cover her traditional lesson plans as it is now because kids that should be in special education classes are placed in her room and pull her attention away from the rest of her 25 kids. She also has to deal with kids who live in horrible homes and are left to raise themselves. So I'm not sure she would have time to cover something as ridiculous as pushing acceptance of the gay agenda or whatever.

What’s happening is any small acknowledgement of lgbtq is magnified 1000x and it becomes a rallying cry for conservatives to attack and act as if its the “main agenda”. It’s nasty stuff. Again, I have 3 kids middle school and hs age and they are almost unaware of what you call the “main agenda”.

It definitely seems like these issues gain so much attention from those who are against them.

Sorry for sounding so callous. That sounds like a rough deal. I just get tired of pretending that argument should be the deciding factor here. When I was in school, I didn't have these discussions with any of my teachers. I was just there to learn STEM, history etc related subjects
