Tape Face

Definitely a masterful job of lowering expectations at the outset.

Was posted in the YLYL, but that act is so brilliant it does deserve its own thread.

Hes clever, would make for a good YouTube video, don't think his act would work as well in a big room, though.

Good act, but there's not much you can do to expand on it. Pretty much everything that can be done with it, has been done in that video.

Hiroki Hara just might win it all. Amazing performance.

I don't understand why the first part is impressive. Is he actually singing?

No. I thought it was a funny. It's just ridiculous. You don't know what the guy is going to do and he pulls out old oven mitts with eyes on them and hand puppet sings.

It's an interesting media presentation, but the guy's not very good at his interaction with it. He misses his marks and the choreography isn't all that interesting. As a new wrinkle to the mixed media performance it's got some promise in more talented hands.

Boy With Tape On His Face is great.

He's been doing the act for years. He does full shows, but that hand puppet bit is the bit I've seen the most.

How would you know? Had he stopped at the hand puppets, you would have said the same thing. He could come up with a lot more stuff, we don't know that.

It had more legs than I thought but I can't imagine the guy making it big off that schtick.

It's more like one weird skit in a sketch comedy show which quickly gets old.

Was surprisingly funny but he's not gonna get far with that shtick.
