He had heart it’s probably just an enlarged one. Guy was out of shape basically his whole career. It’s hard to press past fatigue when you’re fat and out of shape. Especially when your style involves whipping haymakers. Coleman was at least in some sort of physical shape to try and press past the fatigue he would go through from being so muscled.

He had heart but it was hard to see since it was covered by cheeseburgers, french fries, the grease that goes along with that and beer.

I am not sure that I would call Tank Abott "not a real man". He was extremely strong, powerful, fast and aggressive.

However, he gets overhyped as some kind of killer warrior that maybe he isnt for the reasons you mention. I remember him quitting to leg kicks and quitting to exhaustion, as well as holding a guy against the fence for a full fight when he couldn t get his way.

He was indeed a bully and a pretty disrespectful, shitty person.
 
HE was a draw. early on! Not sure if he ever was on roids but he was a STRONG DUDE (Video showing him bench 600lbs) He had heart, but a small gas tank from how much muscle he moves around along with his drinking issue. For how he lived, he did rather well. Some of his knockouts you thought he might have killed these guys! He was fun to watch and always brought it, win or lose.

Tank tapped to leg kicks and to exhausition pre UFC 10-ish and that was around like 97.

You can't do what these guys do without being on the sauce (although everyone is on it so it's practically an even playing field). The Olympics do drug test which limits the cycles somewhat but doesn't preclude them. Especially in these East European and Asian countries, the government works hard to develop the newest undetectable PED.
