Notes: Currently weighing 160 as of this morning, and will try to get as close to 152 by the end of the month. If I can get to walking around at 155-156, then I will plan on competing in tournaments in the 152 weight class. If I just cant drop the weight, I will just go to 165 and eat whatever I want. I'm eating carbs, but working on a pretty fair caloric deficit.

Im also 5'10 trying to make 152. Dont be afraid to get to 165 though, the only diffference is an inch in height. No need to dehydrate to make weight, I made a huge mistake doing that. After 152-165, its more of a width factor than a height factor.

Good luck with the goals Martin.

Are you going to focus on boxing and DLing at the same time?

S&R is a very noble thing to do.

That's a great U2 album.

Are you still keeping up with the 101 goals over 1001 days?

Good sutff, glad you're back in the gym so I have more combat sports logs to check out.

Yeah, Im not stressed about it. If I can get to walking around at 155-156, then Ill compete in 152. If I cant or if I feel like shit, up to 165.

Good luck with the goals Martin.
Thank you!

Are you going to focus on boxing and DLing at the same time?
Basically, yes, but with boxing being the more important of the two.

It's cool stuff too. You do evidence gathering for homocides, search for lost hikers, learn how to track...I sent my application in last week, so hopefully will get it.

That's a great U2 album.
And a great place for camping, hiking and climbing.

Are you still keeping up with the 101 goals over 1001 days?
Yes, but I just keep track of them on a different site that I have been maintaining. I was writing on both the 101 site and another that I keep for travel adventures, boxing, and other stuff, and it just was too much, so I only do one now.

Athhlllleeette - yep, we need more fighting logs around here.

Zero - ok, 455 it is.

Session 1
Location: Boxing Gym
Duration: 5:30-7:45

Jump Rope: 10m
Mirror Shadow Boxing: 3 x 3m Rounds
Focus Mitt Drills: 45m
Heavy Bag: 2 x 3m Rounds
Medicine Ball Calisthenics: 5-10m
Shadow Boxing: 2 x 3m Rounds
* Working on correcting my flared-elbow jab: 10m

Notes: Thanks to Brandon, I know my jab sucks. The elbow flares, and thats bad. Also, after further expert review, I lean forward with it, my chin comes up a bit, and I drag my back foot. Check out the shadow boxing video I posted a few days ago for reference. One of the coaches at the gym worked with me a bit on it, and I have some drills to do on my own, but my bad habits are dug deep. Pretty humbling to get to a point where you feel you are fairly competent at something, enter competitions, win fights, and THEN find that you need to correct what is the most basic fundamental in the sport. Sucks.

* Also, getting my eyes fixed on January 21st. Going with the PRK surgery, as that does not require them to create a flap, and is supposed to be safer for people who get punched a lot.

Catching little fuck-ups that I can refine in my game is one of the most exciting and rewarding parts of this sport, for me. I think once you straighten the elbow you're going to find a little itty bit more range on it, and that could help with all the tall skeletors and southpaws you keep getting paired with

Good way of looking at it.

PRK is going to be awesome. I heard you cant spar fora month after you take it, but I know how it feels to have left contacts fall out every other sparring session. Putting in eyedrops before sparring is annoying too

Session 1
Location: The Road
Duration: 24:13

3 Mile Hill Run
Avg HR: 160
High HR: 180

Session 2

Location: Boxing Gym
Duration: 5:30-7:45

Jump Rope: 5m
Shadow Boxing: 2 x 3m Rounds
Focus Mitt Drills: 75m
Medicine Ball Calisthenics & Conditioning: 10m

Notes: My HR is higher than what is normally considered "LSD" runs...does that mean its not LSD anymore?

People are still trickling into the gym, so no sparring yet. Training is kind of boring when there is no sparring...
