Surreal Moment: My old classmate is a murderer

Kinda crazy reading about stuff like that when it involves someone you may have been acquainted with in some sort, isn't it TS?

Reminds me when I read in the paper how a guy I went to school with broke into a elderly man's house, beat the man to death with some object, then took what ever he wanted from the guy's house.

I haven't seen this guy since I was in school (13 or so years ago), but I would have never imagined him doing something like that. He wasn't a close friend or anything, but he seemed like a decent person.

My school has yet to produce any convicted murderers, but we did produce a lot of sex criminals. Including some blonde chick that was one year older than me. She was married to a highway patrolman and she worked as a guard at the youth prison. She ended up banging a juvenile inmate and got labeled a sex offender.
 
my step dad grew up here on the south side of st louis and lived next door to this guy they went to the same school. same age. He showed me pictures that they were both in.

This guy lived in my college dorm. We weren't friends, but we knew each other. He was at one time in charge of finances for Michael Steele's Senatorial campaign.

But, if you read the article you will see he is doing 9 years for $40 million in fraud. It's not murder, but that is a lot of money.

One of my college roomies died post-graduation when his car mixed it up w/ a freight train.

Went to school/sat next to/had a crush on. Not long after hs she and her hubby went down into the southern us. Things happened and they had to find a way back here(Canada). So, while in Arizona they answered an ad in the paper for a "rv" for sale, by an ill elderly widow. They kidnapped her while out on a "test drive", then burnt her body/drove all over it in the desert. She had duct tape in her baby's diaper bag. In school, she would be considered to be in the "good kids", clique.

Can't say I've personally known a murderer. But I do know people that have been murdered.

Dunno if anyone has ever seen "Millionaire Boys Club" on CBS' 48 Hours. I knew those guys.
 
This guy used to come in to swim laps at the pool I worked at. He always seemed to come in during swim lessons, I would like to think it could just be a coincidence but I'm not that naive. Really threw us all for a loop considering he had been a regular there for years and a good chunk of our guards went to Kecoughtan. We all thought he was kind of odd but was always friendly to talk to.
