I'm going to dive into the weeds for this nitpick...

Speaking of this specific shot, when the dude throws the can at the back of Superman's head, you can see his head move slightly on impact and his hair gets messed up a bit as a result. But this is SUPERMAN. He can take a nuke to the face like you or I take morning fog to the face. When this guy threw the can, it should have been like throwing a cotton ball at an aircraft carrier. ie LITERALLY no movement/reaction whatsoever. Not by his head or his hair. Not one tenth of one millimeter of movement.

As is, it's not much. But still too much for my taste.

Also not digging Clark's hair. It makes him look like a lesbian.

That being said, I'm actually optimistic. Thank God the Synderverse is finally over.

‘Superman' Buzz “Not Good" Following Warner Bros Screenings

An update has come to us via The Hot Mic’s John Rocha and Jeff Sneider, and it’s not a positive one. It turns out that there have been a few screenings of the film at Warners. Sneider mentions that his source "knew multiple people who had seen Superman" and stated, "[The] buzz is not good. I'm hearing bad things. I'm hearing “you should be worried things.” It sounds like James Gunn is aware of some of the feedback."

Tough to know until we see the movie. I actually think Gunn’s brand of humor could fit in well with the Kent scenes. Reeve made Kent not only likable but also quite funny. It’s sort of tough to strike the right tone in a Superman movie. Even in the first film, which is great, there’s a bit of an incongruity. Brando’s sequence seems so earnest, as it should be. Then there’s some borderline silly humor in there later in the film, particularly with Beatty and Hackman. Yet Luthor, despite being played largely comedically, has this absolutely horrific plot? It’s a bit jarring.

It’s no surprise if Hoult is the standout. Great actor. It’s just that he’s so adept in comedic timing that I wonder if Gunn made Luthor funnier than I’d like. I think we’ve seen too many humorous iterations of that character- not uniformly bad ones, mind you, but the way Clancy Brown played the character on the animated series would be more in line with what I’d prefer.

It's 2025, and people still think he would be able to fool anyone with that getup...

I hope it works better in-situ, or that it gets trimmed, but that Krypto joke was about twice as long as it needed to be...

I'm hoping its good, but I thought GotG3 was bloated ass where only the flashbacks were any good. I'm pretty worried that this is going to overcorrect from Snyder's tone and be an unserious quip-fest.

That Krypto clip is horrible. Superman letting out a squeal like that… Jesus, that’s so bad.

I have zero interest in this film

Sometimes people flinch to unexpected contact, and not because the contact is impactful. If you gently poke me with a toothpick from the back, I'll draw away quickly too. It's just reflex.

That would be a Taika Waititi version.

I mean, I'll watch it once it gets to teh home viewing, but I guess I'm a little worn on super-hero oversaturation.

@Dragonlordxxxxx Is this an alternate version of teh story or does it fit in with teh original series of movies somehow? Comic stories, other adaptations etc...
