Superfight 11: Batman vs Iron Man

That power ring is still more dependant on the wearer than Iron Man Suit is dependant on Stark. Anyone can use that suit.

That is one way ole Brucy will beat Stark. He can upload an AI into Iron Man Suit, and it takes over and kills Stark. He will make an alliance with Brainiac

Tony Stark >>>>>>>>> Bruce Wayne when it comes to computers and technical shit. Any AI Wayne could get his hands on with would be like the proverbial "inbred-for-generations hick" next to any Stark AI. Think Cletus The Slack-Jawed Yokel.

Beyotch. :icon_twis

All the money? Does that count?

Batman wins via EMP.

Fuck your "rules", TS. Batman would win this shit on short notice out of sheer badassery.

hmm the more i think about it the more i think its a tie

both ironman and batman would do anything to succeed the task @ hand

b/c both characters would sacrifice themselves to achieve their goals im sure this fight is more even than any1 thinks it is

i cant find the scene in avengers where ironman was about to self sacrifice himself by directing the missle away to save every1

heres the ones for batman

Batman represents the peak of what the human body is capable of.

I hate this though
Peak human
It's pretty unthinkable for a human to have peak human strength and speed.
To be an Olympiad you dedicate your life to perfecting one aspect of yourself

Iron Man doesn't have a stupid fucking raspy Dr. Claw voice so he wins bitches

exactly, you know how many hours it takes to become an expert at any one subject, yet batman is an expert at every fucking thing ever, plus he's rich, plus he's super smart and never loses and always is prepared. I swear, some writers make batman less realistic than Superman.

He's almost as unrealistic lol thats true, well, depending on the writer.

When they did Batman's Knightfall story arc, when Batman was fighting arkham villians and escapees and eventually Bane, you were looking at a far more realistic version of Batman. He would tire, didn't have everything planned out, people out-fought him, he critically injured himself, etc.

He wasn't a genius electronics tinkerer or an invincible warrior, he was a tough son of a bitch getting put through the ropes who finally got beat. None of it is realistic (a man in a bat-outfit fighting people dressed as question marks) but at least there was some coherence there. It was a little more consistant with who Batman is supposed to be, a detective crime-fighter with unrelenting drive and MMA skills.

The issue is, when Batman gets on board JLA storylines, they need him to be able to do something. You can't go up against world beaters like Darkseid with Batarangs and a fast car.

So they turned him into a Cap America level peak human and added some Reed Richards/Tony Stark level tech genius - because Batman is DC's #1 character and he can't play second fiddle to Green Lantern, or the Flash, or..booster gold.. in the JLA. If he's gonna be in the JLA he has to be something special, so, they made him this crazy "always-win" level human.

This is truth, especially in the cartoons.

The Batman from the Animated Series and the Batman from the Justice League series are 2 very different heroes.

Batman in the Justice League is dodging Darkseid's omega beams and judo tossing Kalibak like nothing.

Batman in the Animated Series is getting schooled by this fuckin joke of a villain...

Oh yeh realism is a guy with an "ark reactor" in his chest instead of a beating heart. An indestructable suit that does not add too much bulk yet has rocket boosters in the feet, some laser guns in the palms, and nearly perpetual energy source, and can do a myriad of other tasks. Plus that one guy created all of that on his own while he was being held hostage.

Sure guys dream on

Batman with prep time is unbeatable, he can solve anything in minutes.

In 24 hours he could beat Iron man, cure cancer, bring peace to the world and make Jack and Jill a good movie.

Consistence is a better term than realistic in this case. Batman is a very inconsistently powered Super-Hero. If the writers need him to be a ninja genius he becomes ones, if they need him to be a guy in a mask with human flaws and a bad back, he's that too.

Iron Man is constantly unrealistic and crazy powerful.

Neither character is "realistic" - Batman, when he's written in a certain way, could be called more realistic than Iron Man, but they are both cartoonish and impossible to imagine in any real world setting. They both fight aliens, demons, and whatever else you can imagine.

Then shouldnt he be spewing sonic booms instead of a electricity? It is like eating grape jelly created by the god of Peanut Butter. I guess God of Lightning just doesnt ring the bell so they chose thunder.

Look kids - it's Captain Pedantic!

Well said. I salute you, my Nerd-Brother!

Batman with 24h prep time takes it

I'd imagine he'd make nanobots with built in EMP's that also insert high end viruses and scripts that take over Starks suit or just makes it blow up via command.

Bats takes it if he can get his NB on stark, that which he could if he littered a big area with the invisible things and his equipment with it. All programmed to only seek Stark.

I think he'd be up for the task.

Had to go with Batman due to prep time. 1 hour spent loading up with EMP's with the remainder of the time watching pr0n in the Batcave.

consistancy is the word I was looking for, thanks Egon. Batman's whole shtick of being unbeatable with prep time is such a cop-out and deprives the character of having any real drama.

Don't get me wrong, I love batman, or a version of batman. the gritty dark street level vigilante. I enjoy the entire bat family line of comics, but mixing batman in with gods is silly and it's not what I enjoy about batman.
