Finally got around to watching this one. Like others have said, the story was a mess but they did a pretty good job at attempting to make most of the characters sympathetic, particularly Rick Flag, Deadshot, and Diablo.

I thought Harley's infatuation with the Joker was too glossed over in the sense that she was shown to be head over heels in love with him right from the start of the flashbacks. I prefer the backstory shown in the comics/cartoon which shows her in her psychiatrist role and her fascination, and eventual infatuation with the Joker. Thinking that she can cure him when he's actually wrapping her around his finger. But I recognize this would have been too much of a detour from the main pplot so I understand their need to gloss over it.

Didn't really like Leto's Joker at all. It felt like he was trying too hard to be theatrical, and his character was very two-dimensional compared to Ledger's Joker, who had depth, rhyme and reason to his madness.

Gave it a seven. It's good if you don't try to take more from it then a fun superhero action flick. Best thing DC has done since the dark knight trilogy. Didn't care for the villain but will smith, letto, and the girl who played Quinn did great and carried the film. Worth the watch IMO

Harley had a miscarriage. I like this theory.

"As you can see in the link Joker has baby clothes in his circle of pain.

Later we see Harley's hallucination and she has two babies with the non Joker(Leto). This is Enchantress giving her the dream she desires. She knows the "Joker" would never marry her. However, maybe the man before he fell into the vat would have. Then the two babies are a hint that she maybe lost the kids she had and wishes they were in her life.

Donna Dickens actually wrote a good article on this. Yea I know she craps on DC films, but this is a good theory.

---Isn’t until the climax of the film that the baby clothes take on a more tragic implication. When the Enchantress causes “heart’s desire” hallucinations within the Squad, Harley’s is shocking in its normality. The Joker and Harley have twins and a lovely home. At the end of the day, Harley wants to turn on the dryer, feed her babies, and send her loving husband to work. She wants to be a wife and a mom. Personally, I have no issue with this. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be a wife and a mother. Having the desire for suburban bliss doesn’t negate Harley’s personality or independence. Assuming no woman wants to be a stay-at-home-mom is just as bad as assuming ALL women want to.

Harley’s fantasy also throws an early scene into new context: Diablo’s confession. When it’s revealed the pyrokinetic gangbanger set his wife and children on fire in a fit of rage, Harley’s response is a savage “Own that shit.” She then goes on a mini-rant about how people like them don’t get to have normal lives where they wash clothes and go to work. It’s vicious and condescending and seems fairly out of character for the usually bubbly antihero…until the context of Harley’s heart’s desire. Harley wasn’t looking down on Diablo’s futile attempts at a home life, she was both jealous and enraged. Here was someone proving you could make a stab at suburban bliss and what did Diablo do with his perfect life? Burn it to the ground.---

It explains why she was so pissed at Diablo when she found out he killed his kids. She could feel that.

Deadshot's dream is very interesting as well.

Diablo is dreaming of being with his wife and kids. Harley has the right guy and her kids. Flag has June back in his life again. Deadshot simply wants to kill Batman. He's the only one who is still focused on killing people. He's the only one who isn't thinking of love, but revenge. He told Harley he only sleeps well at night because he doesn't love. He regrets getting taken down by Batman. All the punching he does in his cell is him imagining fighting Batman. It cost him daughter. That and maybe he's really prideful? I think they're setting up Deadshot going after Batman in a future film. Maybe not as a main villain, but he's going to want another crack at him. I also think we're going to get more suicidal Deadshot as well."

You're really gonna tell me it's better than Batman Vs. Superman, or any of The Dark Knight trilogy?

Really?

WTF are you talking about?

The Nolan Batman movies are absolutely garbage imo.
Shitty fight choreography and action sequences. Lets not forget the plot holes, bat voice, and the Jokers annoying, over acting tongue.

It took me 3 attempts to complete MOS, so I'm not interested in drifting off into another coma with BvS.

Suicide Squad was so good, I thought it was a Marvel flick lol.

Legit didn't notice the baby clothes, thanks for sharing.

Huge theory if true. Love the subtlety of it, and the connection drawn to her reaction to Diablo killing his family. Makes a lot of sense when you think about it.

SUICIDE SQUAD Reveals Harley Quinn Was Involved In Robin's Murder

Batman-v-Superman-Robin-Costume-032616b-Dragonlord.jpg

Rumors have been swirling over the past few days about whether Harley Quinn had anything to do with Robin’s murder. The back-and-forth all started over some text that appeared on-screen during Suicide Squad which implicated the whacked-out villain to the death. However, headlines were left squabbling over whether Harley had actually done the deed alone or not.

Harley Quinn did not kill Robin...but she definitely did help.

Twitter user @selinakvle posted a photo which shows the movie’s incriminating text. While the picture is a bit blurry, viewers can see the text describes Harley Quinn as an “accomplice to the murder of Robin.” So, there we have it. Harley Quinn might not have pulled the trigger - or set off the bombs - but she did help in kill Robin.

Just saw this with some friends and we all loved it. People were laughing in the theatre and even my girlfriendish said she liked it. I just don't think you can satisfy comic book people

8.5/10

Nothing to do with any of that, I've read maybe 7-8 total comic books my whole life (and none were DC)

The story was all over the place, stupid flashbacks happening at random times, trying to tell 5-6 people's backstories, and the movie kept feeling like it was gonna end and went on being boring, then felt like it was gonna end and went on being boring, again and again.

Humor wise, I don't remember laughing at all, some people laughed a little during the movie but overall it just seemed too "try hard" with very little actual funny stuff, which is fine I guess since it was an action movie.

They just tried cramming way too much into that movie.

I'm not usually overly critical of movies but there was so much I didn't like about that movie.

I didn't see any of those teasers after the movie, as soon as the movie ended I bolted for the door.

Lol, from what I've heard Leto was a try hard ass while filming this. I lul'd at one of Will's interviews where he says Leto sent him a dead bird or something, and Will calls him to say thanks, but he's just acting here lol.

*edit, whoops, it was a pig

saw it again, I rate the first half 8, then second part a 4, so stupid to fight enchantress/incubus with a boomerang, bullets, hammer, bomb, jeez just shoot it with a jet missile or something

Anyone see the 3d version? How is it, just asking because me and my girlfriend have been booked in a group for the 3d version tomorrow and she gets a bit of motion sickness with 3d at times.

I love the expression changes on Jay's face throughout the gifs.

I assume you're talking world-wide numbers here, right? Saying $300-500mil worldwide is optimistic seems like too much of a low-ball to me. Even X-Men: Apocalypse, which significantly under-performed compared to DoFP and Deadpool, pulled $534mil worldwide. Heck, Skwad is more than halfway to $500mil in less than a week despite the crappy reviews. I don't think expecting WW to do $600mil+ worldwide is unrealistic.

Yeah I'm talking world wide numbers. The difference between X-Men: Apoc vs WW is, there was a lot of anticipation from DOFP. With Wonder Woman yeah she'll get the SJWs but it just depends on how many people still have a sour taste in their mouth from BvS.

The way I see it, WW will probably do 100 million opening weekend but the word of mouth is going to kill it. If it had the epic battles etc that it was originally going to have, I'd say it would have a better shot of going strong into the 2nd and possibly 3rd weekend of release.

The other problem I see is, in June of 2017, Wonder Woman comes out the same weekend as Bad Boys 3. In addition it has to go against the new Mummy movie, the new World War Z movie the following weekend. Then Kingsman 2, Cars 3, and Transformers the Last Knight also come out in June.
