That sounds pretty reasonable. That's a -58.6% drop and weekend three drops are usually in the neighborhood of about 10pts better than weekend two. So with last week's -67.2% that wouldn't at all be a surprising number.18mill domestic weekend upcoming

SUICIDE SQUAD Swings Past $500 Million Wolrdwide at the Box Office
![]()
Despite receiving its share of harsh reviews, Suicide Squad’s box office numbers are high enough to overshadow any critic’s opinion. After all, the film has only been out for less than two weeks and is already sitting with a staggering $500 million worldwide gross.
With total earnings of $509M, Suicide Squad stands to become the highest-grossing film ever at the August box office. Suicide Squad has already shattered several records as it holds the biggest August opening of all-time both domestically and abroad.
The worldwide grossing pulled ahead of other superhero movies and their earnings after 13 days. Captain America: Civil War grossed $494M in that amount of time while Deadpool pulled in $256M. To compare Suicide Squad's grossing to other DC films, The Dark Knight had only earned $128M worldwide in 13 days. Other titles such as Man of Steel and The Dark Knight Rises raked in $187M and $252M respectively.
As for what's next for Suicide Squad, the film is slated to hit Germany in a few days. Sue Krolls, President of WB Worldwide Marketing and Distribution, said the movie, “is in position for another terrific weekend as our overseas expansion continues.”
Overseas, the film has racked up more than $271M so far. When that gross is added to Suicide Squad’s $238M domestic earnings, it leaves Warner Bros. with enough revenue to make even Captain Boomerang envious.
Currently, domestic predictions expect Suicide Squad to stand as this year’s fifth title to be No. 1 at the box office for three straight weekends. So far, films such as Deadpool,Zootopia, The Jungle Book, and Finding Dory have already done so.
Suicide Squad Passes $500 Million At Box Office Globally
this is a great news.
with 175 budget, 700 mill look very good.
Where are you getting the $175M figure? I thought I had read somewhere that SS needed to pull roughly $800M ($300M domestic) to be a hit because of marketing, re shoots, cast salary, etc.. pushed budget over $200M but I could be wrong.
The movie is no doubt a financial success and really sold well. Can it save the DCEU when no one in the movie for more than 20 mins (Bats, Joker possibly) will be a factor in the wider DCEU? I don't know, and while it was not mind blowing and had a couple big flaws from a big comic guy, it was much more enjoyable to watch than BvS (aside from Cara Delvegine's acting, she's a hottie but damn she's stiff and cant convey emotion).
But, none of the main SS members will have anything to do with any DCEU movie not named Batman. The only real connection to any non-Bats hero is Boomerang and Flash and Lord knows we don't need to see his lame ass in the Flash movie. No connections at all to WW, Supes, Flash,Aquaman, Cyborg or Lantern/Arrow. SS is a niche Batman part of the DC universe, WB can continue to make SS movies but they're basically impossible to incorporate in any JLA/non Batman film as any other DCEU hero wipes the floor with the entire team w ease esp if Enchantress and Diablo are 86'd.
He did the same in the comics. Originally he was just a weirdo in a garbage bag but Supes punched the spikes out of him.I guess I'm the only one who liked Doomsday. He looked a little ninja turtleish to me but overall not that bad. It was cool to see the bone protrusions grow and him get the more classic look as he gained power.
