Stupid people having kids

I agree with that old village saying but I'd get my head kicked in if I tried telling the people near me how to raise their children.

U might not. I correct kids all the time. I dont talk to they parents. If I see them doing wrong I tell them, stop that, you know better than that. Kids look up to adults and respect them around me.

I'd rather have honest, hard working, stupid people raising kids than immoral assholes.

And I definitely think teachers need to teach good manners and morals in school. They also need the ability to discipline when students are out of line.

Not all kids have good parents and they need to learn good behaviour from somewhere. People here say that it isn't the teacher's job, but it always has been until very recently. They still had the strap when I started school. It was strict and we learned to be respectful, honest, and to speak using proper grammar.
When I was in 1st or 2nd grade and asked this one teacher for something in a less than polite way, she scolded me and that straightened the fuck out of me.

We’ve taken Darwinism out of society. You know why bears aren’t getting dumber with each generation? Because the stupid ones die. We’ve got the government swooping in to save every moron from themselves, handing them everything when they’re to stupid to fend for themselves. If nature was allowed to run its course this problem would solve itself.

And it's usually the people that should be having kids that choose not to, or only have one.

it take a village to raise a child. You should help the parents when you see them having a hard time with their children.
This whole "village to raise a child" saying gets played too much. Only people I hear say that are ignorant. It demeans intelligent parents when someone starts spewing that saying to parents who prepare and anticipates how to raise children.

I dont know. I thinks it kinda of foolish for any parent to think they know everything and will never need help from anyone else.

The ways to prevent or discourage the dumb people breeding tends to trigger everyone else, unfortunately.

That's a cop out. They have time to have the kids watch a video for who knows how long instead of actually teaching.
Trust me, my wife used to teach at a rough school. No time in the world without the teacher straight adopting the kid is going to help. You can try to teach a kid, but when it is a high school class with high school books and the average reading level is 5th grade (not kidding), good luck. Also doesn't help when the kids do not care, listen, do assignments, get into fights regularly, and talk trash to the teacher only to get a slap on the wrist.

If I said some of the things these kids have said, my parents would have beat me and sent me to military school. Teachers cannot replace parents.

The future should seriously consist of compentency tests for people wanting to have children. Too many adults who can barely take care of themselves are having kids, and it's sad seeing just how these kids are raised and the lessons they are taught. Idiots should not be allowed to have kids. It's pretty much abuse.

did you not have good parents, though? Teaching morality is the place of the parents. An exceptional teacher might have an impact on a student but it isnt reasonable because teaching a child to learn math english etc is hard enough. they also are not paid very much. I was always a well behaved child because I had a sense of obligation that came from a place of love for my parents. I don't think a teacher can replace that if it isnt come from some place at home. To me it is like putting a band aid on a gun shot wound. The cultural problems are too deep and wide spread to be fixed by teachers.

Sounds like the kid's 6th grade teacher was just collecting a paycheck + union benefits. Not his/her problem, "move along illiterate youngster".

Idiocracy...art imitates life. Stupid people outbreed intelligent folks at an alarming rate.

The first draft of the screenplay was very different.

Originally, the opening scene was supposed to be in a classroom where a teacher asks kids "What is 1+1?"

The answer a child states is "3".

The teacher does not correct the child because she didn't want to hurt his feelings because he "feels" the answer is correct. And feelings are more important than facts.

Test audiences didn't like that. So, they changed the "reason" for stupidity in the future being that smart people had less kids compared to stupid people.

Source: Newsweek from a long time ago. It look a long time for production of that movie to be completed.

And 7th and 8th. She had hell teaching them as well, they did not care or want to be there. They need a big scary man to teach them and not have his hands tied while doing so.

This is why I don't want to have kids. If I fuck up, my kid's going to be the next Hitler or a serial killer.

Is this the greatest threat to our future? Ill tempered and impulsive individuals procreating at an accelerating rate? Is there an ethical way to curb this?
Maybe a bigger focus in our education system on just how big of a task raising a child can be, and the ramifications of being a bad parent?
None of this is any of your damn business. Human life is precious and how or when people choose to have children is none of your business.
