It's a private school, so they can do whatever the fuck they want. But if this were a public school, I'd be mad. When I was in high school, I saw kids sporting all kinds of foreign flag, even wearing clothes that had the American flag upside down, others had the rising sun. If that can be tolerated in a public school, so can the Confederate Flag.

There are people who would strongly argue that they were, indeed, worse than Nazi Germany.

Also, Nazi Germany represented a global threat. If the Nazis had won, we'd be having this conversation in German. If the Confederate States had won, it would have sucked for the North and the Slaves. But it still wouldn't have had much direct impact beyond America's borders.

It would have ended up with a Cold War type scenario with Germany replacing the USSR.

The U.S. wouldn't have let Germany be the sole European power, and would have invaded whether they had beaten Russia or not. Not in 1944, but eventually.

Either that invasion is successful, and history proceeds sort of like what we seen, or it doesn't and the US finally says "To Hell with Europe" and goes back home for a decades long cold war.

So Nazi Germany, had they won, would just have conquered all of Europe. Slaughtered every man, woman and child of Slavic, Jewish etc origin. Colonized North Africa, and quite possibly India as well(there was a Waffen SS Indian Division)and no doubt supported Japan in it's desire to use every single Chinese person as bayonet practice.

America would have pulled up the drawbridge and began decades of isolationism. With the War won, Nazi scientists would have been free to concentrate their considerable intelligence and skill - NASA wouldn't have beaten the USSR to the Moon without von Braun - on projects such as Nuclear Weapons.

Yeah, what was I thinking? Obviously the Confederate States were orders of magnitude more dangerous and evil than Nazi Germany...
