thanks....if thats a compliment hahahah, alot of program hopping and idiocracy, but constant hard work and something always similar to conjugate.

and yes I am still practicing mma, I typically don't post too much because it isn't that interesting to post 1 hour sparring or something. included in mma is self defense (so gun/knife disarms etc.), yeah I try to get in atleast an hour of atleast shadow boxing a day. Rolling I have found to be the most taxing (physically) so i try to keep that light and only work on technique, same with clinch work.

needless to say I sleep alot 8-9 hours, with lots of protein and fucktons of calories.

This is accompanied with part time commuting student (last semester) studying for lsat and full time work.
sure I give up a lot of partying and t.v. time but its worth it.

and since it has been 6 months from the start of this journal I figured I would do a recap.
Went from around 225 around 14 percent body fat (had shit trainer tell me I was 8%) to around 211 at 7% and now bulking back up around 228-230 at around 10%.
lifts went from a hard as fuck 15 second long (have a video) 1 rep ass off the bench touch n go bench at 315.
to a smooth 335 with a pause ass on the bench with a bit left in me.

225 axle clean and split jerk to a 255 unknurled axle clean and split jerk.

deadlift from 545 to 575 (in comp after one event about ten lbs lighter).
squat atg pause from 365 to 405, and 365 pause atgx3.
(with a severe hamstring injury putting me out for almost 6 weeks)

farmers 265x60' with one drop (as my first exercise) to 275x50' with a turn, after doing a couple set of deads, 250x100' in 15 seconds.

yoke 500x60x10, 550x50 CHAIN YOKEx10 seconds, also 730x30ft. (a 150lb pr)

250# atlas stone to 52 with tacky", 270 atlas stone no tacky 52" and a 350 atlas stone with tacky to 48",

Wait so where is the MMA??

The mma is always happening I am just too lazy too post it because you all won't really see the improvement as you would with weightlifting. i.e. logging, today I did one hour of sparring, or one hour of rolling isn't super important.

But if it bothers lots of people hahaha I'll post it from now on.

after strongman comp.
West virginia's strongest mountaineer,
first event farmers pick and hold, 280# per hand who can hold it the longest,
I knew I would win this as I usually win the stubborn events. I went last and won by a second, the most pain my hands have ever been in.
second event humvee arm over arm rope pull, grip was soooo fucked but I pushed through it, I had some sort of technique issue with pulling slack out of the rope that I am starting to realize after watching the video, with the slowest pull I got last.
Axle clean and press away, 225x6 enough to tie for second, I should have got one more but at this point I was feeling horribly sick and I wasn't in the right mindset, I was in the mindset of I'm sick this sucks. I threw up immediately after the event. The winner got 225x11.
then 200# sandbag carry 60ft. run back 230# keg 60ft. then push a big ass truck 60ft. all in a minute. I had by far the fastest split times between the sandbag and keg but my shoes could not grip the floor for the truck push. On numerous occasions I did a road runner and ran in the same place going no where (was done inside of a national guard armory) got 2nd to last on this one, not to upset because it wasn't for a strength issue or anything it was a not wearing the proper footwear issue.
atlas stone over bar 270# over 48" the record was 10 in a minute, and going last and knowing the scoring there was no way to work out of my 3rd place spot so all I needed was 4 stones to get it. I crushed the first two lifts, both within 6 seconds, the second was wear by tape ripped off my arm including all the tacky, so I slowed down getting the next two in 16 seconds. for 4 reps in 22 seconds. At this point I was as high a place as I could go with severe wrist pain (that has been on and off for months) I called it quits.
overall fun event, met phil pfister, probably one of my last contests, weightlifting is starting to be a goal in and of itself where as it should be a means to an end.

Starting this log up again, been too busy with finals and such to update my log.
recent updates, weight 220~ 8% body fat much much leaner than before (when I thought I was at 8%).
Starting going to a new Jiu Jitsu school been going five days a week in the morning.
Today ME upper
Cg incline 275 3 sets of doubles paused.
log incline press 210x3x5 pause reps (first from dead stop)
dumbbell flat bench superset with rows 75 3x15
3x5 kipping muscle-ups
barbell curls 85 superset with log skull crushers 125 3x8
axle curl/ band pushdowns 2x50.
then Jiu Jitsu for an hour and a half, spent 30 minutes stretching and technique work, armbars and kimuras from guard. then rolling for almost an hour. gotta work on not getting triangled and breaking out of guard.
about an hour of sparring later coupled with knife defenses moves.
(will take body recomp pic tm morn)
also planning on doing another strongman comp in about 2.5 weeks with a tough mudder a week after. also committing to a Jiu Jitsu comp this year aswell as a HW ammy mma fight.

last few days, have been pretty boring as getting ready for a comp, so its a lot of technique.

highlights, log clean and jerk up to 235 for 4 singles and 245 for a single.
got a 310 atlas stone no tacky over 52"
shouldered a 250 atlas stone no tacky
farmers walk 275# each hand 100ft. no drops.
Chain yoke (so fucking hard) 500x50' 10 seconds 600x50'

been doing jiu jitsu 3-5 days a week.
the class I go to is a little rough debating how much I like it. we do a shit ton of sparring but idk how good that is because it ends up being about 10-15 minutes drilling the techniques, then about 40 minutes full rollings. its exhausting and a great workout but I feel like I'm not learning that much. the last two days have just been open mat. (instructor has also never once shown up on time, usually 10-20 minutes late, so I feel he just says open mat to be lazy) the full sparring five days a week kills my joints, not just from them being tired from lifting but I feel like even for a pro fighter, 5 days 40-60 minutes of full rolling in jiu jitsu would wear anyone out, and is begging for an injury.

also feel like I win a lot of matches in my class by out muscling everybody, which is odd, wouldn't think that would happen in jiu jitsu, and have beaten everybody in the class multiple times except for the instructor of course. who often doesn't role instead to coach, which makes sense.
