Strickland: good guy or no?

Sean strikes me as the bully kid who pushes kids around in the schoolyard then when someone finally hits him back cries that he didnt hit them as hard as he got hit.

That's because you are OK with people making fun of Strickland being an innocent victim who suffered abuse as a child.

You are the problem, not Sean. He was the guy standing up to bullies on the playground.

depends on who you ask . I Just find alot of things hypocritical with the passes sean gets
compared to others....

Step 1: go look up the type of activity sean was involved with when he was younger....(strickland even admits it himself)
Step 2 look at how he behaves today along with his antics as a grown up adult....
step 3 use common sense
step 4: draw logical conclusion.

i actually think he makes an authentic legit heel. however i wouldnt put it past this confused
fan base to have him as baby face

Has he ever officially stated what his preferred pro nouns are. Quite presumptious of you just to assume he identifies as a man even if he does fight in the men’s division. It’s almost 2024, get with the program. 🙄

I get you are trying to shoehorn in a joke here, but he has several times

He's a good guy who struggles to remain one. He has trauma and brutish impulses that get the best of him, and he's clearly an impulsive character whose sanity and behavior hangs from a thin thread. I wish him the best.

Good to know. I find most mma guys talk to be cringe even if I like the fighter so I’ve never really heard him talk. I’ve read snippets of his interviews but he does seem like a dude who would use the phrase “I’m a man” a lot. Heck I couldn’t wait till I turned forty just so I could say I’m a man, I’m forty like OSU coach Mike Gund.

We all know he had childhood trauma so I won't go over it. Strickland is a fighter by trade. It's a brutal business to be in. You are punching people in the head for the longest time in the hope of making more money. The fight business can turn you into an animal. You have to be an animal and it's survival of the fittest.

Think about a guy like Sean who has had childhood trauma and did MMA to help resolve some of these issues. Now everything he has worked for has finally come true and yet he's still the same person deep inside. Stricklands struggle right now is trying to find a balance between being an animal and a righteous person in his mind

Sean is a complicated, misunderstood person. He's a good guy fighting his demons. He for sure is trying harder to be good than most of the people. He has flaws and he admits to them. People have short memory and only remember DDP thing.

As someone who has self-esteem issues and roots for underdog these interviews really hit me

Fighters are deeper humans than most of us. Fighting is an art, many are findinh purpose there, meaning, kill pain, fight demons. Only complete ignorants see combat sports as some brutal spectacle for idiots.

DeSean has an insight into the world we live in that I wished more people had. The world would be a far better place if more people realised that.

He knows who he is, he is honest about himself, actually I think he discredits himself. I hope he'll find a peace in his life. I think the point where you get to the top is tough, because once you achieve it, it's like for example what now?Yeah that was great, but whatever or "now I have to prove that it wasn't a fluke.

Good or bad is a matter of perspective.

Based on what I've seen, he is a deeply flawed, pretty emotionally damaged man who deep down is a pretty good dude.

...who has zero filter between his brain and mouth.
Nailed it

He says stuff that is needed to be said in these days we live in. Sometimes he takes it over the top. He isn't a bad guy, just no filters whatsoever.

He's kind of a bad guy but not an evil guy..... 2 different things.

He does a lot of dumb and bad shit but doesn't really have any malicious intentions. Actually thinks he's doing good things most of the time...

I think his shtick with the abused kid got old the moment he became a whiny biatsch when DDP used it and Sean got mad.

Like, what do you expect, you build your whole personality of being a filterless a-hole around the fact you parents didn't love you and your dad beat you and the moment somebody uses this and says something, which you have said by yourself countless times, you get whiny and bitchy? LOL, go and fork yourself!

Just a regular blue collar with his qualities and his flaws.

He's not a superhero and he's not a villain, he's just the average guy

I'm glad we have him nonetheless in these troubled times of unhinged wokeness

TELL ME WHAT THINK

Good guy
