Strickland: good guy or no?

I mean he's in his thirties constantly calling people :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:s and thinks saying "I want to kill people" all the time makes him cool. I can't say if he's good or bad, but I certainly wouldn't leave any children alone in his presence.

DDP calls Strickland out (not the other way around) and challenges him to fight right then and there. Strickland asks for parties in the way to politely move, then gave DDP exactly what he asked for. As far as I am concerned, DDP was the instigator, and for some baffling reason Dricus must have really believed that Sean was not the type to oblige him and give him exactly what he asked for. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. They both deserved to be tossed from the arena.

Sean does say and do stupid things, there is no doubt about that. I don't know if he is genuinely crazy (probably is), or if he is simply having a hard time dealing the with pressure that comes with being the champ and in the limelight all the time and not knowing how to act and react appropriately.

When they fight, I do expect Dricus to win. Just seems to be a more complete fighter, and the phyically stronger and better conditioned of the two. Not that I want him to, just what my gut instinct is.

Deep down I think he's a good dude. I do believe he sometimes throws jabs at people and will sometimes get hit with a hook back.

Former skinhead so hes got issues to work out still I imagine

All that talk about wanting to kill people in a fight was serious imo and not wolf

He's not the champ we deserve. But he's the champ we need right now.

Good or bad is a matter of perspective.

Based on what I've seen, he is a deeply flawed, pretty emotionally damaged man who deep down is a pretty good dude.

...who has zero filter between his brain and mouth.
Most of us deep down mean well even if our actions may not seem to reflect this; in one way or another, we all justify our choices, or we would make different ones. The thing is, all one can be judged on is their actions, which are questionable in his case; we can't really go on some "deeper belief" about the person's goodness (not reliably anyway).

He is extremely judgemental, he always have a critic and an opinion for everybody, usually not good.

The Dricus thing is pretty hard but it seems he might have a case of thin skin.

He’s the champ and just beat the shit out of Izzy. His actions do back up what comes out of his mouth
He got another decision victory. Kind of reminds me of another former MW champ who promised chaos in the octagon only to outpoint his opponents. I can appreciate getting a win and taking zero risk in a fight of this magnitude, but Sean's fighting style is dull and not pleasing to watch. Effective though.

To the thread: Sean is a hypocrite and victim. Zero remorse for his childhood trauma because he got butthurt Du Plesis stood his ground and embarrassed him on stage. If you're going to be a trash talker then be one, don't redraw lines just because you got your ass handed. Sean screams: "look at me, I need attention because my daddy didn't like me growing up so I'll say the most random shit for likes". He's a 14 year old edge lord trapped in a 30-something year old body. Man the fuck up

Good guy but obviously has some pretty serious character flaws that hopefully he'll work on. He needs to give the macho bullshit a break and stop having an opinion about every single thing in society. I think there's hope for him to mellow out and become a wholesome dude, but there's also potential to go to the dark side.

"He polite ask us to move before he beat down bad guy who calling him out."

Got to be a good guy. Anyone who watches out for kids has to be good at heart.

TELL ME WHAT THINK
He's a sociopath who is trying commendably hard to be a good person, and seemingly mostly succeeding, but the recent Dricus incident showed that his dark sociopathic side is capable of being triggered, which is somewhat worrisome regarding Sean's future.

Sean strikes me as the bully kid who pushes kids around in the schoolyard then when someone finally hits him back cries that he didnt hit them as hard as he got hit.

I am sure at some point in our lives we all wanted to assault somebody in a live crowd but it's not something you do in reality. It is hard to call him a good dude.

GSP congratulated him on his victory, and Strickland pointed at him and addressed him in third person, "this fucking guy! Legend of the sport!". So probably good guy.
We won’t know for certain until you add a good guy/bad guy poll.

Man, you got to break out of the bubble you live in.

what do you mean? You think that if you just put a bunch of people in danger by deciding to turn around and start a brawl at a live event that makes you good? I get people make mistakes but there is a reason Dan Henderson kicked him out of his gym. Granted the situation was not all of his fault and possibly could just be the UFC trying to sell us controversy of course.
