Anyone watch the show. It been on TV for a while now and pretty fun to watch. I like the fact the the boy Kyle Kelly was able to go over to OKC and take them for 100 Grand and a TV Show(with the new the Street Outlaw NO starting on soon). I know some say the races are fixed or stacked in OKC favor when it comes to out of town races but show is still fun for. Only dumb shit is when the show Farm Truck and Asian during the most the dumb ass pointless shit to try and bring comedy to the show. But what your fav car on the show. Mine is Monza's. That shit is a the badass split bumper camaro.

Fuck that show. Full tube chassis cars shouldn't be launching on the street. I'm not even really a fan of no prep either if you'd be required to run a cage at a strip. I'm glad the NHRA stepped up and threatened to pull licences.
There's already been deaths and some terrible crashes.
Also, it's encouraging street racing. I'm a huge fan of cars, but take it to the strip.

I agree to take it to the strip too but the show takes it to Private Closed roads and thats ok with me. I wish they would openly talk about the shit the TV people go though to get permits and shit to allow the races to happen instead of making it seem like they just pulling up to a light and gunning it.

Safety of the drivers have been questionable in a couple of episodes. I don't know if they showed the LeMans episode yet
but it ended up in a ditch....
Cement barriers aren't enough for sub 10 second cars. In that video you posted there isn't even a barrier.

The NHRA's rules have encouraged street racing as well. I don't stay up on all the rules but in the past stock/mild bolt on Corvette z06/zr1 with good tires are fast enough to need a cage, harness, fire jacket, etc.

In the past, yes. But currently they're very against it. They even have events around the country to get people of the streets.
Last track I ran at they went by IHRA rules and anything under 10 seconds for a full cage, full harness, shut off, etc. 10.01-10.99 just required a bar and the basics like a suit, helmet. I think newer cars got some leeway on time. That was awhile ago so things might have changed.

Nah fuck the NHRA. Talk about an out of fucking touch org.

Yeah they finally granted 09+ cars 10.00 capability without cages. Newer cars are considerably more dangerous to the occupants with cages in them.

He better get his ass in gear if he wants to catch Lutz.

Is that the show with the 2 homos in a red pickup?

I watch it. My kid loves the show. Its entertaining. Monza's split bumper is bad ass.

I'm not going to get in to this too far, but I am very familiar with one of the guys that has made some appearances on that show and debatably has the fastest street car.

He's had the car as long as I can remember and was one of the big mouth pieces back in the 90's for the area I used to frequent for street races.

As for the show I don't care for it much, it doesn't represent true street racing imo with all the over dramatization and the stereo typical flat brimmed hat wearing dickweeds with tat sleeves the show seems to have. The cars are also not real street cars per se.

It's also funny to me that most of these guys get their asses handed to them at the strip and prefer to take their 'trailer cars' to the street to compete.

He ran a 4.13 on the small drag radials yesterday at Lights Out 7. Say what you want but that's DAMN impressive for a brand new car with less than 10 passes to get it right.

They also have one of the few podcasts that I find worthwhile. They come across as very genuine when they aren't forced into the script that Discovery pushes.

Sorry went back and added spoiler tags. Forgot they hadn't shown any of that yet, seems so long ago!

Nobody here is hating, but many people were upset with the decision to choose style of car.
