Television Stranger Things 4 (New Trailer)

Hope add Brenner isn’t really dead. I feel like that guy has some sort of evil loser that makes him above the demon dogs

Stranger things was great until this season. I barely even recognized any of kids . Show has run its course n "jumped the shark" at least for me

Don't remember really liking a lot of season 3, so not in any rush to watch this.

Don't have Netflix currently as it is and don't plan on picking it back up anytime soon.

I stopped watching a few episodes into season 3. Too many characters and everyone got super annoying.

How's season 4 so far? Any better?

Wow is all I can say about the new season. I'm glad I did a re-watch prior to the new season starting to get me reinvested into the show again after 3 damn years and I recommend anyone else to do the same if you really want to experience easily the best season of the series the right way. Even though there was 5-6 different story lines going, none of them were boring. And the mother of all twists to end the half season was one of the best cliffhangers I've ever seen and not something I would have ever guessed in a million years. The first episode will leave you scratching your head as to how and why a new upside down creature is killing people but while its not all explained by the end, it will make a lot more sense at the end of episode 7 and I assume it will be fleshed out more in the next 6 episodes.

Only downside is the music was a huge step down from prior seasons. 1986 had a ton of hits and nothing. Story wise, 10/10.

Just watched episode 3

- The story is picking up the pace after a couple of episodes with a lot of Teen Drama alongside the good stuff.

- Vecna looks a bit like Swamp Thing. But his MO seems to be a combination of Freddy Kruger and Pennywise.

- Deep-level homage to Shawshank Redemption: Robin's line, "or very inconvenient" echoes what Andy Dufresene says during his trial.

- Robin is cute. Too bad she plays for the wrong team.

- I really want to see Murray bust out some Karate moves:)

Episode 4,

- Rule #1: never trust a Russian:rolleyes:

- Rule #2: if in doubt, see Rule #1;)

- Hop kicking ass was cool. Big Jim's still got it.

- Porn 'Stache Bourne is a Bad Ass Motherfucker. Even if the soldiers went Stormtrooper Boot Camp.

- Hail to the King, baby! Great to see Robert Englund himself as Creel:cool:

- I don't think Creel's son is dead...

- Max being saved by the Party playing her favourite song was both silly and awesome.

I’m a few episodes in.. I’m entertained at least. There’s definitely some plot holes, dumb ideas and so on.. but I don’t turn to ST for top notch writing tbh.

Btw, the headbanger kid that gets accused early reminds me a little of a young Robert Downey Jr

Not really digging the Russian story line, or the awkward Will and Mike storyline. Max is still an annoying bitchy to everyone she’s been thru real shit with for no reason character and Nancy and Jonathan are still both the same characters (for the most part) they were in season 1.. like they’re stuck in an alternate universe. So.. I can understand this show running it’s course for some people. I think the people writing this show have pretty much run out of ideas and are just counting on their ‘formula’ (which was good in the 1st season) to carry them to the finish line. All that said, it’s still better than a lot of crap Netflix has been putting out. Even the most recent ‘Love, Death, Robots’ was mediocre imo so it is what it is

The cast has gotten too big I will say that. With only two super episodes left this season and then the final season it’s time we start seeing some real casualties for the main cast. They’ve been fighting other worldly monsters and bullies for four years now and not a single member of the main cast has taken a hit.

Watched the first 5 eps of new season, really enjoying it. Much better than season 3 imo.

Just finished episode 7. A ton to still wrap up with just 2 episodes left but I read they have a combined 4 hour run time so that’s basically equivalent to half a season.

- 001 should’ve been way older. If the kid was at least 10 in 1955, he’d be almost 40 in the school timeline. The guy looked to be in his mid 20s.

- The teaser showed Eddie playing guitar on top of his trailer. Thinking that’s how they get Nancy out of the trance.

- The elongated episodes became a bit taxing towards the end. No reason to throw meaningless plot sidetracks like Suzie’s computer being taken away which added nothing to the story other than to give her slightly more screen time.

- Who the hell is Tina and why does Lucas care about her not finding out what’s under his bed? Did the actor mistakenly call Max Tina and no one from the crew caught it?

- Just a theory, but they might lose this one. They’ll likely beat Vecna but then the Mindflayer scores a big blow to end the season and set up the final season. Possibly with a main character finally being killed off.

Season 1 was great. Funny how some media, music or television can invigorate old memories. It was winter here when the show first aired. The bride and I would rug up after a nice dinner with the doggos and watch. Good times
season 1 was great despite a very hard to stomach wynona ryder and then when s2 aired you realized instantly they only had enough material for one great season. What a clusterfuck of a trashy show that went to be faast!

Im on episdode 3, been skipping all the russian and Wynona's scene, they just seem boring.

The rest is enterteining, not as good as season 1 and they are a lot older but same old stuff, if you are a fan of the series you will like this one.

The whole super hacking skills that girl has seems stupid and Im going to hate it when it eventually is used to solve a plot point, not even remember if she did something like that in season 3, kinda just remember she sang at the end.

I think the reason why the second season gets so much hate is because what a masterpiece the first season was. Personally I thought the 2nd season was great in its own regard, its just stuck in the middle of two far superior seasons.

For me 3 is the worst.

The whole russian army stuff lost me, jumped the shark with that.

I think the problem with 2 is the sequel syndrome, basicallly feels like a remake of 1 with more stuff and new characters and the X-men episode, but on the bright side it still has them as kids, so it still has that charm.

3 and 4 also suffer from that Fast and Furios thing were the protagonist go from illegal street racers in to superheroes, the first 2 are cool because with the exception of 11 they are kids trying to solve a problem using kids logic and means. Now they have too much skill and confidence.
