The point that you are missing, as usual, is that a faction of Trump's supporters are always bleating about the decay of family values, when the man they supported for president was riding bareback on a porn star right after his wife gave birth to their son.

You trying to argue that anti-Trumpers are not getting to Trump supporters on this is absurd, as you are clearly gotten to.

Secondly, yeah, Trump is, has been, and forever will be a scumbag, but he is also now a hero to the evangelical wing, and them holding him up and inviting him to their "religious leaders summit" etc., undermines their whole family values position.

You're trying to fit a round peg into a square hole. You can support family values but still pick the lesser of two evils in politics. You glazed eyed lefties are conveniently ignoring the fact that Hillary's marriage was just as bad, so it's not a "gotcha moment" when people picked one or the other with respect to infedelity. I think the deal breaker for a lot of women that voted for Trump was that Hillary let Bill humiliate her and she stayed married for her career, and everyone knew it. They feel that she stayed with someone she didn't love for personal ambition. That's insulting to marriage too.

And you can try to push the "but Hillary" and "lesser of two evils" crap, which is a very weak position for Christians anyway, but you are ignoring the fact that evangelicals have gone way beyond that and are holding him up as a values defender at places like Liberty University, the Family Research Council's Value Voters Summit, and the Religous Leaders Summit, etc., and that Trump said "in a Trump administration our Christian heritage will be cherished, protected, defended, like you've never seen before. Believe me. I believe it. And you believe it."

They bought into that bullshit, and now they have to read stories about Trump having unprotected vaginal intercourse with a porn star named Stormy, days after the birth of his child, and it is hilarious.<Lmaoo>
