Economy stonks v20, you get an offering

I'm noob as fuck when it comes to shares, I was thinking of buying a few hundred dollars worth of SLV a month for the next 5 years and putting it on my mortgage when its time to renew.

Decent idea or no?

it depends on what this master plan is being compared to, i guess.

not sure why you picked slv.

Well Silver is generally seen as a decent hedge against inflation no? I was also thinking ABX.

oh, didn't notice you were canadian. no idea. yeah, metals are generally a good hedge vs inflation. we're in weirdo territory, though. slv is up 33% in the last year... but only 24% over the last 5 years. ie: it was in the red for the first 4 years.

have you thought about just opening a "tech" company and getting ark money?

Motion to allow violence/genocide talk here against Financial TV personalities.

Lol I would have no idea on how to do that or what ark money even is.
Ark is a fad growth stonk ETF run by Cathie Wood.
It' a gnarly hybrid of state corporatist goals, noobie investors, and run by completely delusional freemarket Christian evangelicals who think it's god's destiny that they attempt to promote monopolistic big-tech companies.

and she only bought path 3 times yesterday!

welp, sold most of my INDI at the top (well, so far today) thanks to the obvious order book. kinda wanted to hold more and sell 8/20Cs on them, but the premiums didn't rise with the sp today.

i really don't know what's up with the movements. they're a nifty little fpga company, but the stock trades like poor man's amc.

and speaking of weird movements, cciv is looking upwards again. the market seems schizo as fuck. i don't know if they're talking to dogs or god or mushroom men, but shit.

Jesus I was too patient waiting to short NVDA more into the split. That AMD-NVDA divergence is like 8% now in just a week.

Damn shoulda shorted off that silly baked-in non surprise Fubo surge.

Pulled the trigger on SoFi today at 15.20. Let’s see what happens from here.

Hey sherbros, so I know jack shit about stocks but my sister just created an account for me on etrade and bought me 500$ worth of 3 different stocks as a birthday gift. I know how to use the app and see how my stocks are doing and what the graphs are but thats about it. Is there any site where I can get very basic advice for newbs and also is there a site that compiles lists of stocks with company descriptions so I might be able to do some research? thanks in advance.

Best advice is just watch the market for the sake of curiosity using FinViz but remind yourself that you're better off accruing capital thru work and dumping it in than trying to shin a hot streak together into some 5000% millionaire gain.

All tickers in my watchlist blood red. When will this end. Just nuts.

If the stock market reflected anything even close to the economy I would say it can go on for quite a while
