Economy stonks v18, stimutacs

Hell yes brothers I have saved my family's rhubarb farm with this doge spike; bless you internet casino!

(this is a joke; it's much more lucrative to grow poppy seeds)

yeah, got in last March and was up like 326% percent until these last couple months. Lost about a third of that and just sold everything this morning. Worried the wild shit that has been going on in the market is all coming to a head to an extent soon and just want to sit out for awhile and observe.

Dayum man. I was overly suspicious of the SPAC/Tech (small cap)/EV mania so locked profits in the majority. Took some big wins in NKLA/GNOG/CCIV/SKLZ/AACQ.. I sold out completely most my positions in Jan/Feb, hedged in OIL which was a good call at the time. Looking back I would be down probably another 25% if I didn't sell up my small cap stocks. I mean holy shit those that bought near tops are going to be holding heavy bags for a long time. CCIV at 60? Ouch. HYLN at 55? Ouch!

I had a gut feeling we were in a bubble anyway so this is neither surprising, but the lows are becoming surprising lol. I posted last week a whole list of SPAC's that have been smashed to oblivion and whilst I keep thinking they cannot go any lower it does.

Not sure whether to sell and buy back in lower at this point!!

yeah, glad I got in when I did. Made some money, learned a few things, and lost just enough of those profits to have realistic expectations going forward.

Have a lot of buddies at work who just started pouring money into crypto that last couple months . Like saying fuck a retirement account have you heard of this coin? I might feel like a dumb ass down the line but I feel real fear for them that that shit could come back down to earth soon.

There will be many tough lessons learned for new investors for sure. We are all a genius in a bull market. Locking profits is always wise. That said these lows are neither bad if there are some stocks you like long term. Its an opportunity. For example CCIV you can get 3x more shares for your money now. Sounds good to me.

Yeah my housemate has switched from stocks to crypto now but seems another bubble. Dogecoin I mean wait, what? lol. I think the correction will be big. Those buying near tops will get caught out just like the market. Its gambling.

the meme of 'good news for amd, down 3%' really needs to stop being prophecy.

my investments murdered my portfolio. it's ironic... never should have stopped being pure trader. and with the SPs/IV where they are, i can't even really pivot to theta plays on them.

and i figured amd would run up into earnings, like usual (and like they should, given that they've been flat for 6 months with nothing but good happenings)... but now i'm curious if even the beats/raise will bring the SP above a mere $85.

at least the maxn bloodbath should be over with, with the offering closing. it's down like 70%. downright farcical.

i'm actually flat for the year now. i was up like 40% in january, so... once this mess is over, i'm going back to my golden rule: don't hold anything unless you're selling weeklies with 90+% IV on it.

If UAL opens down I'm buying 1K more shares fuck it YOLO. Every other sector makes no sense...

I am going in on long calls for 2022. I believe we will rally next year but I see a continuation of misery this year and probably the market trades sideways. We are slowly bleeding but I think the bottoms are nearing. I do believe big tech is next to get hammered which will tank the market that are also trading at some hefty P/E.

Feeling bearish for the year tbh but when blood is in the streets its time to buy.

Went crazy AF on airlines at opening. Mark my words will be the easiest 15% of the quarter

Had fomo from yesterday and got some MOGO at opening. Only bought 300 shares since I had no idea what direction it was going, but it's looking good! Going to let it ride or set a trailing stop loss since we are still apparently in Quad 2 and if the R2000 goes hard by the end of day this could possibly reach $10 by closing if day traders are greedy.

It's going to sell off at 9.X at the highest as bagholders bail imo.

I was looking at that and SKLZ yesterday and did neither and now theyre up bigly.

Damn it didn't even crack 8.50, lol. I ended up just holding it since it's not much shares.

pretty much all i did was sell the same (short) calls i just bought yesterday during the dip.

will be eyeing up intel ahead of their ER, but i'm probably not going to buy puts this time... i suspect the new ceo will still have them in a grace period.

mostly just awaiting tuesday's amd ER.

Today is a solid day, I’d expect this thread to be blowing up.

Need about 9 more of these in a row to have a real celebration.

Someone mentioned CCIV which would have been a good hit.

I'm telling you boys STLD ftw!
