There will be a period where shorting becomes pointless when the market is butchered already. The market will just trade sideways making it difficult to make money.

When cum coin is mooning it shows how daft investors are now. Crypto is a casino but I may have to sign up because any idiot can make money.

what they're talking about is likely the short-term cap gains rate, as well. so even if one makes less than a mil, it would probably apply.

the long-term rate never really affected me, at least directly.

i dunno, man. great weather, live by the beach, pay $5k/year in tax and $10k to charities of my choice... my biggest hang-up is basically distrust of the pr govt and the act being revoked/them banning guns or something.

i think it's absurd that they want to compare this to wages, as if people commonly lose money working. the risk: reward doesn't seem to be worth only keeping 57% of gains... especially with how much extra risk this would bring to the market.
