Economy stonks v18, stimutacs

4)Do you think there will be a crash/correction soon?

Maybe a mini correction in the DOW & SP this year but nothing major. The DAQ already had a slight one.

Prediction: 2022 the market will experience some serious volatility. I think 2022 we will see the crunch and real reality of the damage of Covid. Garbage stocks will get smashed out the ball park whilst blue chips will stay somewhat stagnant. Fraud companies where investors are gambling (and there is many right now) will disappear off the face of the earth. Rookie investors will suffer big losses in speculative stocks.

I agree that the "roaring 20s" will be a myth, and like all modern things a decade of price action will get truncated into a much shorter time period.

my icln plays are kang gang, apparently.

<mma4>

My inability to transfer fractional shares between brokers greatly annoys me. They've come out with lots of great new features, but not this.

this cnbc dude is on drugs talking about AGC not having a target when literally got announced what their target is today.

it has electrolytes.

edit: one of these days, i'm going to log in to a conference call and hear vanilla ice/mall metal/dmx/etc and start cracking up (instead of string-centered romantic/classical/baroque, like every cc i ever listen in on uses)

holy shit, that was fast. the whole special meeting was like 5 minutes. vote passed, amd to acquire xlnx.

you missed something, though. maxn's initial price was $37/share (ie: what singapore paid, essentially). and that was BEFORE the solar run-up. ie: they never had a solar run-up. for reference, spwr was like $15ish or something at the time of the split.

that valuation was generally what i bet against, i got in at $20ish.

looks like Maxn took a big shit today with the rest of solar lol

yeah, it was expected, though. it really didn't drop much beyond where it bottomed AH yesterday. hung around $25.

between them and amd, i'm feeling like a boring ass investor right now.

ASO is looking like a short around here for at least a short term offering bet.
$31/share just 6 months after ipoing below range at $13 on a legacy chain? k.....

GME was only down 8% a few min ago which was a gift short too lol.
"Academy Sports 9MM share block offered via JPMorgan (91.1MM shares out). " Woooooot

Kicking myself I didn't pick up more COST when it was at $309 a month ago. Up to $364 already.

Buying calls on Auntie Cathy's space fraud now, the options are dirt cheap for some reason

$MSFt at 52 week high. You young bucks with your yolo-ing, Diamond hands, and riding rockets to the moon. I will keep making money on my boomer stocks dividend stocks, and blue chips. I can retire with a sweet house in The Villages that has over 20 golf courses, swinger parties and an extremely high rate of STD’s. Who is winning now?

not even remotely. the first 2 minutes was someone just reading the prospectus. then they called the vote and immediately announced it. there was only 1 question asked - if they're still expecting the merger to close by the end of the year. the answer was "yes."

the entire thing was 5 minutes.

how do you feel about the general outlook of AMD? From what i know in the techspace, intel has been failing and failiing hard since zen 3 came out and their (AMDs) yet to be released "milan" server shit looks incredible. i dont see intel coming back in the next 18 months personally. i bought it at like 73 and i think im gonna hold at least until the end of the summer

they're killing it. they have the best designs, the best x86 chips (hands down), an arm license, expansions into phones (exynos/adreno), etc.

they're limited by the chip shortage... but the flipside is that literally every chip they make is sold. they also have increased their wafers from tsmc. with tsmc and samsung expanding, it should be even better for them.

intel isn't even competition, anymore.

arm/risc-v are greater threats, but again... amd has an arm license (and i don't think nvidia's acquisition of arm is going to actually pass regulatory approval) and big.LITTLE designs.

i wish they had been more aggressive with their wafer allotment from tsmc, but that seems to be their only real 'mistake' in the last few years (well, aside from maybe the negotiations with xlnx. i have no problems with the merger, but i think the terms were pretty meh)

the xlnx closure is the most obvious problem for their SP, though. the sooner it happens, the better.

lmao glad I closed my ASO short off that block trade. CNBC just pumped the fuck out of it with huge coverage. The reason? They buy advertising time on CNBC lol
