Economy stonks v12, gamestonk?

I have a funny Elon related story.

about a week ago, elon posted on twitter "Use Signal"

triggered wife's friend to look into the company, she then buys shares @$34.......

now sitting at 13..... lmao

Elon's words = gospel

Every old timer I consulted with and applying every principle of economics I pulled out my 401K in May and moved to low risk Treasury Bills.

My old funds were tech centric and are only up 35% since then. It only cost me 7-10 years of retirement and 7 figures.

But... listening to the wise words of @rob mafia stonks aren’t the economy I’ve been getting active with my play money and made an absolute shit ton on that front. Too bad it ain’t close to what I lost with my retirement.

The point, the stock market is crazy as fuck and over valued however, that was true in June, July, August, Sep, Oct, Dec and also last Dec.

Stonks only go up and have nothing to do with the economy.
you can be a fairly conservative trader and make good money, if you have a lot of capital. I work with someone with a bigger account, and he built up that account from nothing to 7 million. He's older and gives away money, something to the amount of 500K a year, so he doesnt get hit with the death tax. my wife and I trade with him in person, and he's really conservative, and able to double his accounts in about 4-5 years........... when covid hit, I remember his accounts tanking MILLIONS <Lmaoo>. They have since recovered and then some, but still, it's scary watching the downturns.

Apparently there will be a announcement at 11 pacific in regards to CCIV/LUCID. Not sure if true but would explain the increase..

i tried to stay in bed today and burned my phone from ~100% to 61% and did more trades than usual. terrible time to try to pick a lazy day.

and i thought i could coast by and watch a gazillion contracts expire with the trip witches

Moral of the story your wife's friend is not the brightest. She bought a stock she knew nothing about because someone else said to use the product.

Elon wasn't telling anyone to go yolo on some Biotech company. He was telling them download a social media app.

Said to use a completely different product, actually. The company Elon was pumping isn't public.

I think SIGL is the correct ticker, that biotech company was secondary.... hilarious either way. In this market, this gal has been consistently buying high and selling low <45>. when my wife does that for emotional reasons, I have to tell her to calm the fuck down, she thinks she knows it all after trading with a high level trader for one year. you need years of success if you want to make trading work.

There is no correct ticker. The company that makes the app isn't public.

it's partially my fault for relaying the news, my wife is low tech, has a hard time following twitter, so I was talking about signal with her and how many retweets Elon was getting...... of course women cant shutup, so the whole country knows by now, and next thing you know, someone has shares for 34 a pop. We dont play with anything less than $20 for the last 5 years. just run of the mill stuff like apple, carr, united health, etc. Companies that have a massive ratio of cash and conservative Beta. we do have some risky stuff like tsla, but that's for fun, and the current position is small.

Sold more than 1/2 of my CCIV when it was above $20... going to go back in after the drop when there is no confirmation.

must have been signal advance, because we use etrade, and when you type in "signal", that's what comes up. Most of our stocks, we dont research what the company does too well, if financials are good, as well as volume, we're in. Like I said earlier, we work with a trader, and he's got like 20 stocks to buy, we buy it on our own chart readings, we dont actually trade the same thing, because we may be all locked up or whatever, we discuss and debate trades most the time.

I've got an $11.63 cost basis. I'm happy to ride just out the dips.
I'm at $9.77 but I was too much of a pussy to dump any actual money in it early
