some dork on wsb was speculating (last week?) that novavax was going to be the dark horse winner of the vaccine war.

he might be onto something. pfe needs liquid nitrogen or something to maintain the ludicrous -80C temps, mrna supposedly has "painful" side affects and requires a follow-up shot.

maybe i'll make a play on this, after all. i have no intentions of it, but with free cash and everything looking overvalued... i almost made a big play on crm just to put $ in play.

I actually bought NVAX when it was $32 and sold it when it was $42. Back then it was about as volatile as INO is right now so perfect for day trading. I had over 300 shares. Really wish I would’ve left that position alone for a year.

Anyway, I like Nano flu which is another product in their pipeline. I believe Phase 3 trials for NVX‑CoV2373 were recently put on partial hold by the FDA. Their stock took a pretty big hit for that so this might be a good entry point. I don’t think they’ll “win it all” as a matter of fact none of these companies will dominate the landscape.

In my opinion, the vaccines that are partnered with the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness and Innovation will all become household names. All the companies that are attached to CEPI and COVAX are going to explode when their funding is announced. Some companies have already received funding while others are waiting on a few variables.

One last thing, it’s not just vaccine companies that are going to be making monster profits. Therapeutics and testing are getting a ton of funding when the next stimulus bill passes congress. I’m not 100% sure but I think it’s $16 billion. The only testing company I know that is small cap is SRNE so it’s worth a look as well.

Oh you don’t like them? I’ll be honest I’ve scalped them a few times but only when I saw the vultures circling lol. They did just get a decent amount from the DOD. In hindsight, I should’ve grabbed a ton of cheap calls for mid 2021 but I don’t know enough about the company to actually invest in them. Additionally, I don’t know enough about testing and I’m already preoccupied with therapy and all the different vaccine stocks.

So I just took a peak on Google. Looks like some testing companies are Chembio, Abbott Laboratories, and Quest Diagnostics. I think SRNE is the only one that filed for EUA. I could be wrong though since this isn’t an area I frequently research.

they're kind of a joke on here/with us. i mean, i think most of us have played srne at some point or another... but their stock is about as much of a pump&dump scam as it gets.
