He needs to fully embrace STONE COLD STIPE!
DJ is a great example of this, what with the whole dillashaw situation
yep... win fights and you'll get respect, if you want money you have to become a better salesman, and if they're not prepared (or able) to do that then they should not complain because that's just what the job is
I agree 100% and I love that gif.The UFC is horrible at promoting fighters. Unless they can shit talk. The UFC is just useless.
Dude from Ohio, who happens to moonlight as a Paramedic/firefighter. And he's knocking out the biggest names in the sport, in the FIRST fuckin round. One win away from a UFC record.
If you can't sell that. You're not very good at your fuckin job.

You're not a smart personI don't make the rules dipshit, if the UFC doesn't want to renegotiate they don't have to, are you arguing this fact? Fuck these people get dumber by the moment.
Then i'd just strip him of the belt and make him fight out his contract. Build up new fighters that will accept a pay on their level.
Stipe doesn't generate enough money in revenue to be asking for a huge payday.
Not gonna happenThen he should go to Bellator. No one would miss him
Not gonna happen with the baddest man on the planetAnd the UFC can just strip him if he refuses to fight just like they did with GDR.
What you talkin bout? I've been in hereNormally I'll jump in this like Captain save a Stipe but you know what will pass on it this time, them dress pictures, them asking for boxing match and future meeting with my boy Cain all got me on stand by, will observe but won't take part.. but it's hard so many shitting on him who the fook sides with Dana in the first place. (ah stop it).
Yo at @Final Say step your game up you getting creamed in here.. time to call for a tactical voice of reason with plenty of research @g*r*b .. Stipe fans where the heck are you, the Champ needs you.
mods - please merge with the other thread of the same topic ! dammit.
"It definitely should change," Miocic said. "But the fact that [Overeem and JDS) made more money than me in my last fight was just kind of a slap in the face.
..............
You're not a smart person
Then stipe won't fight
Boom done.
It's called leverage look it up. Stipe is the baddest man on the planet and has the belt. You renegotiate or he doesn't fight
He wins
What you talkin bout? I've been in here
It's very simple
Stipe is the baddest man on the planet. Unbelievable streak. He has the belt.
You give him his money or he doesn't fight. The math is easy. He has the upper hand, it's not complicated.
Speaking about "won't fight"....Stipe has said before, the minute that fighting "stops being fun," he's done. Which depending upon how he defines "fun" could mean he could step away any second, or stick around longer than is wise.
But he has brought up the hypothetical "what if I just quit right now" to his coach and his wife long before this issue cropped up, and said they're both OK with it. He tells the story about asking head coach Marinelli that, and that Marcus replied by shrugging "Eh, then we'll have more time to drink wine".
Lol they would make a division between featherweight and lightweight just so Conor fights the smaller opponentsThat's the market value thing. That's why the UFC doesn't want fighters to know what anyone else is making. PPV cut, bonuses and whatnot. They publish the salaries which are roughly around the same ballpark for most fighters, and the rest gets handled behind closed doors. And fighters aren't stupid enough to tell each other how much bread they're making. You can offer the champ 5 million per fight and he's gonna be thrilled. Until he finds out that the 3rd ranked guy makes 6.5 million because, whatever, his "brand" or "legacy" (Crocop, Overeem etc.). Suddenly the guy wants at least 7 million. Everybody wants what they're worth compared to their peers. It's really just a mental thing. He was happy with 5 million but why should he accept that somebody who is not as good makes more money? Now he wants more money. Soon you'll have fighter shooting for Conor's contract. It'll be interesting to see what happens when Khabib beats Conor. And what happens with Conor's contract and promotion and his PPV % once he piles up some losses which is very realistic when you have guys like Khabib and Tony waiting to dethrone you. He probably moves down again to dominate the smaller guys in order to save his brand.
so how exactly is overeem attracting PPVs - i just don't get the appeal
