I'm still so frustrated that DC abandoned his wrestling.

I mean he took Stipe down and mauled him, and he was doing fairly well in the standup early on. All DC had to do was keep going for takedowns and the fight was over.

But I've gotta give Stipe credit, he took a BEATING and showed insane heart + skill to come back and win.

The jones hate is honestly really funny. Every piece of it. Who would have thought a guy like that would be the GOAT MMA fighter? Coke, dick pills, hit and runs. All while thanking god. It’s probably the greatest gift people who have a sense of humor could ever ask for.

Because he's a horrible person outside of the octagon (evidenced by fleeing a hit and run with drugs + cash and, in my opinion, drunk -- leaving a pregnant woman with a broken arm).

Because he's had multiple unexplained PED violations. The dick pills had Tamoxifen and Jones had none, and USADA clearly showed with their samples that he should have had Tamoxifen in his system. At the same time, the very receipt for the dick pills also had an order for the actual pure PED on it! And they submitted a false receipt to USADA the first time, trying to hide this fact. And we still to this day have not found the source of his "unintentional use" of Turinabol!!

In fact, his stalwart defender Eichner even directly stated that Jon Jones pulsing MUST have come from significant intentional use of Turinabol earlier on, because you can't get that level of pulsing from a single unintentional ingestion (assuming his pulsing theory is even correct, which if it is not mean that Jones has been constantly ingesting Turinabol for 2+ years).

He's a bad person and a PED abuser.

Factually "No contest" implies there was no contest that took place.

If nothing else can we agree that it's a fact we witnessed a contest that night and one man was acknowledged as the winners of said contest for the next 7 days

And it's for that reason that no contests are dumb, and need to be radically scaled back to be being an extremely rarely invoked ruling for circumstances where we should actually be able to say no fight occurred.

Like yeah, if you accidentally get eyepoked 10 seconds in then call the fight as having not occurred. Nothing had happened, and there was nothing determining who was winning. If you get eyepoked and cannot continue after the majority of the rounds had happened then call for a technical decision and go to the scorecards and determine who won based on where the fight stood as it was when the blow happened (a la Cerrone/Varner).

Stop saying fights didn't happen when they did. We have a lot of subjective opinions in MMA because of these dumb rulings rather than the reality of the fight we saw.
