Media Stipe Miocic Humbles Francis Ngannou

Hard disagree. You cannot possibly qualify this statement.

Watch his fights with Mir, Big Country and Barnett. He had to beat them up in workmanlike decisions because he couldn't hurt them. He KO'd Bigfoot who's signature move is getting KO'd. He's undersized at heavyweight but thats how bad heavyweight is.

Where in the world do you get the idea his punching power is 'light years ahead' of him at 205?
Oh I dunno. Stipe 1 off the top of my head.

Oh I dunno. Stipe 1 off the top of my head.

Right so look at his entire body of work at heavyweight in the UFC, then do the same for light heayweight.

He isn't KO'ing people in general, and he couldn't even remotely threaten guys like Big Country and Mir of all people with his punching power. He did KO Bigfoot Silva in Strikeforce, who's signature move is getting KO'd.

So he double eye pokes Stipe and is able to score a knockout on that side, cool.

There is absolutely no data that suggests Cormier is a more powerful puncher at heavyweight then he is at light heavyweight.

I think the very fact alone Stipe couldn’t finish Francis 1.0 should strike fear into the heart. Ngannou wins that rematch ALL day

Francis puts him out cold

This literary makes no sense

There’s so many unknown variables to accurately identify a favorite/underdog for the fight, it’s a pick em.

Did Frank in fact get better and put his reps in to improve his TDD/clinch game?

After the Cormier fights is Stipe’s chin able to withstand the big shots he ate during the first Ngannou fight?

Will Frank go into the cage confidently or will he be shook because of the previous fight being a 5 round GNP beatdown?

Is age/wear and tear going to compromise Miocic, eye surgery and Miocic being 38 by the time this fight happens...? we also have no idea what the next Cormier fight will look like.

I’d venture to say at this point it’s a coin flip odds fight

If Stipe wins the trilogy, will this happen again or will Francis 2.0 sleep Stipe?

Francis went to europe in 2013...started mma in 2013....Got a title shot and rocked/hurt Stipe, a dude who had been doing Wrestling/sports his whole life.

I think Francis humbled Stipe much more.....Stipe the first world privileged man, with a lifetime of Sports/Combat sports under his belt could not finish the immigrant who just started MMA in 2013 lol.

If the roles were reversed...and it was Stipe coming from a third world country after not doing sports/combat sports until his mid 20s....He would never have a chance against Francis or even make it to the UFC.

I wish trilogies were more like the Chuck Randy trilogy. The first two bouts weren't back to back, so we saw both men cement themselves as the best at 205. It felt organic.

This. I’ve been saying the same thing. Rematches shouldn’t be too early or too late, but when the hype/tension is maximized.

Really bad post overall but stipe was never rocked in the francis fight

All respect but this is a bit goofy.

DC could barely get past Gus and lost to Jones twice - literally getting beaten to sleep.

Heavyweight is not a different game - its where you go when you want to fight older, lesser skilled, less athletic fighters. Thats why DC, the very same guy, can absolutely WALK THROUGH heavyweight, including summarily knocking out the champ. It has the oldest average age of any division. Are you familiar with any athletic sport in the world where having the oldest competitors is a good thing (read: its not)

I was responding to 'those heavyweights can beat up everyone else.' They demonstrably cannot, because guys like OSP and DC are literal, real world examples. We do not need to guess, its a fact.

I'm also throwing out my opinion that guys like Costa and Romero can beat 11-20 ranked heavyweights. Thats how bad heavyweight is.

If you can make 185 you don't fight at heavyweight 'just because' since you are going to take substantially more head trauma throughout a 20+ fight career, while fighting much larger humans. This is frankly common sense and I cannot believe I am typing it out for you.
Greg Hardy would beat the dogshit out of both Romero and Costa in 1 round and he's like the 80th ranked HW lmao

OSP, who's on a losing streak at light heavyweight, casually went up to heavyweight because 'why not' and fought Ben Rothwell to a pick-em split decision.

Costa would beat the brakes off Greg Hardy. It would be legitimately hilarious.

Heavyweight is the least talented, least athletic, lowest average age division in MMA. It also has the lowest roster depth.

Hey that’s Big Boi from OutKast. He has a similar name to a HW in the UFC, small world, man. Hopefully they release another project together because their last release Speakerbox/The Love Below double album was a real knockout. Even though that was a while ago, I still throw it in my tape player every now and play it’s just as good every time I hear it and it never gets old. It’s like you could hear it over and over and it’s brilliant every time. I know it might be childish to listen to it so much, but honestly I don’t have much more in my life to keep me entertained. Some things are just timeless like that. Good to see another OutKast fan bro.

Wasn’t a big fan of that/those albums. Aquemini is my favorite, incredible

Good choice, but No love for Stankonia? I’m aging myself a bit, but OutKast and Goodie Mob did some good stuff together back in the day too.

Stankonia is great, listen to that in the gym pretty regularly.

Goodie Mob had C-Lo rapping as opposed to his singing gig now. Pretty good flow. Worth a listen if you haven’t heard them.

You're delusional. Honestly I hate to say it but you sound like a coping manlet.

Kinda hard when there are hardly any good and/or deserving fighters at heavyweight.. blaydes is the only one and he lost to ngannou twice (he has to win tomorrow either way)! Only option outside of that would be fast track Gane, Pavlovich or Hardy (i know he lost to the reem)

Hardy never fought Reem you must mean Walt Harris

??? Francis is the same damn fighter he was back then.

Francis was green in the first fight. He will 100% win the rematch and any other matches after that. It won't even be close.
