This is a while back but a group of us went on a ski trip and bought a fair bit of booze. We were broken down into food groups and anyway a mate of mine suggested we get some Tia Maria. Anyways for the week we had far too much alcohol and the Tia Maria went unused and so we gave it to my mate as he liked it. The following week was another friend's birthday party and as a present he brought that bottle as the present.
Regifted a handdown bottle of booze.

I can only comment on the people pilfering from the Goodwill Bins here in Australia. I always donate my old clothes and will always stop my car and give a mouthful to those cheap fks who steal it instead of letting it go to the less fortunate.

Wait till peak lunch hour at a place like Burger King or McDonalds, have multiple orders that you order through the drive through. Pull around, run in and run up to the front of the line and tell them they forgot one or two of the burgers. Most of the time they are too busy to check and will just throw them in your bag.

kind of sad, but more disgusting than anything. if they were so poor, why not do a better job of rationing and distributing? maybe they were just extremely cheap.

They were far from poor. Friend actually live with his grandparents. His grandpa drive big ass expensive truck and his grandma drive a pretty new cadillac at the time. His grandma even buy bunches of chicken breast and cook it then chop it up and mix it with rice to feed it to her dogs instead of regular dog foods.
What's weird is in every other aspect they were not cheap at all. Just when it come to the food.
Other thing they did is... If they want to make pizza, they would find cheapest frozen pizza of appropriated size then throw cheese and whatever topping they want on it.
They never buy any brand name foods either.
One time my friend and I decided to stop by a restaurant. When we head over to my friend's place, his grandma saw the take out bag my friend had and she was mortified and start to ask us how much it cost and stuff. He ordered a large sandwich with sides and drink and it was about $12. His grandma freak out and say we could have made it ourselves for less.

I never understand them at all.
