NFL Speed and the NFL

This was an NFL linebacker

As a senior, he contributed to the team's 11–1 record and a playoff appearance. He was named district Defensive Player of the Year. He started 45 straight games in his college career. He also practiced track and field, competing in the 100-yard dash (9.5 seconds) and the triple jump (49 feet).

As a pro he returned kickoffs. running one back over 90 yards to score.

A LB returing KO;s, yep....rare.

Who?

By the way LT was a 4.7ish at 240 pounds.

What Hall of Fame LBer played both lines, QB and RB on his way up?

What team had a future Hall of Famer at...

DT
DE
OSLB
INLB
Cornerback
Safety

All there togetther?

As these defenders keep getting faster and faster that means QB's must get more athletic , more mobile to escape them.

There is some chatter that Mendoza isn't all that nifty in the pocket, hmmmmmm?

Still one of the most remarkable 40's ever....

Vernon Davis a 4.38 at 254 pounds. yep.....a Niner to be.

That should be illegal

Will we see a white cat break a 4.40?

Weird but the white dudes are their best at 200m, they are more about ....sustained....speed than explosive speed.

Fastest white NFLers was this cat....

John Roderick a 9.3 dude out of SMU, putting that in perspective Bob Hayes 9.1.

He played three seasons, didn't do much.

Cornerback Javelin Guidry a 4.29 cat

At Cedar Park High School in Texas, Guidry won the Texas State 100 Meter Track Championship with a time of 10.41 seconds. While at Vista Murrieta High School in California, on June 3, 2017, Guidry ran the fastest 100 meter dash in state history with a time of 10.13. In 2019, while at the University of Utah, Guidry won the 60 meter dash title at the University of Washington invitational with a time of 6.59. The mark was the seventh fastest in the world at the time that year and bested the mark of professional Kyree King.

Darrell Green the fastest CB at 10.08
Then Guidry
Then James Trapp at 10.14
Deion a 10.26

As a junior Guidry won Texas champs, before a senior his family moved to Cali, now a senior he wins the Cali state champs.

Don't know his story but guessing another of those who couldn't handle having instant $$$$$$.

Henry Carr the 64 Olympic 200m champ was brought in by the Giants to run with Bob Hayes, ha~~~~~
