He was out for a long while with an illness which Dana said could end his career, but they never said what it was.. came back and looked bad, so guess there must still be an underlying health problem.

This is the right answer.

Around 2009 they said he'd most likely never fight again but never said why.

When he came back he looked horrible.

Dude put Stann AWAY at just 21 years old. Had a bunch of wars in a young career, even in his losses. Would like to see how he would’ve grown given his extreme skills at a young age.

Dude had a lot of injuries did he not? I remember him having one that almost ended his career and when he came back he really didn’t look the same, which is a shame because he was so young.

I always wonder about him too, dude had a decent amount of hype on him back in the day and the UFC obviously had high hopes for him. Apparently he runs a weed business now or some shit and does pretty good for himself.
