Trolling, attacking and name calling is right out of Trump's playbook, do you think this is going to work for Newsom as 2028 approaches? Do Dems like that he's hitting back with MAGAs own rhetoric or do they think this doesn't seem genuine. I think the cuck insult is in reference to Miller's wife and Elon.

Always beware of those guys. I went to school with an 8th grader who had a full beard. He was a weird adult-kid. Never seemed right.

I admittedly don't pay much mind to the baseless accusations against the Trump Administration, but that Miller guy...he just seems evil. He's the Republican Adam Schiff.

The adoption of that vernacular is as cringe as it gets, it's so hollow, stevebuscemiwhat'supfellowhighschoolers.gif. I'm not even convinced Newsom feels that passionately about Miller. I might at least forgive it if I thought his contempt was authentic, but I think Newsom just affects that, too. He cares more about what's on the menu at the French Laundry.

So why is Gavin Newsom attacking Miller? I see no details, just a generalized accusation. What's the substance here, besides my governor deciding to be a dickhead?

This isn't about approval. It's about whether it resonates.

Whether or not you believe it is authentic, rhetoric like this, when used by Trump, forms his very political identity. When a polished careerist like Newsom uses it, no, it's not to going to win people over. It's too transparent. It's not who he is. He can be denigrating to someone like Miller without using words like "cuck". He can hit below the belt without sounding like a wannabe conservative podcaster. It's just so pathetic. He should draw a reference to how Miller's own family doesn't like him. Something like that.

Wouldn't work. Democrats are anti-family, so that would probably just make them like him more. Make him identifiable.
