Media Mighty mouse goes OFF on fans criticizing Khamzats performance

Yeah I like MM but he definitely comes across like a pompous prick sometimes, I pointed it out earlier in another thread but later in his video even he himself states the fight wasn't that exciting so basically contradicting himself, I think because he himself was accused of being boring at times he takes it a little personal and that shows in the video.
All this undeserved praise is getting to his little head.

I like MM too though.

Exciting grappling = good
Boring grappling = bad

Fair enough...but in order for it to be exciting there are some obstacles to overcome. First, there was clearly a very wide gap in grappling ability. Second, the lesser grappler was still a world champ and hell of an athlete so wasn't just gonna give up his neck and surrender. Instead, survival became the only goal.

Given those pretty obvious things, seeing what we saw last night was pretty clearly how it was gonna go. The funny thing to me is the seemingly butthurt people who were sure Khamzat didn't have the gas tank to do what he did now blaming HIM for not...what? Abandoning his strengths to stand and trade instead of locking up a sure win? Taking chances unnecessarily on the mat when his opponent clearly was only interested in not being finished?

People of course are free to view it however they want, but it's amusing to see the shift in narrative.

Anyway I got to be backstage last night and say what's up to MVP, and hang with Tracy Cortez a bit, then walk out into the arena through the fighter tunnel right behind Prates and Neal. So my night was awesome.

He is correct. The fight was also still not that exciting. Part of it is the style/skill matchup, part is cuz both were seemingly playing a bit safe and because DDP is very durable and turtled. I'm not mad about it though, it just is what it is. It kept me engaged but I certainly wasn't on the edge of my seat.

Also yeah, as far as I'm aware striking sports are more popular than grappling sports so it follows that that will be the same with MMA.

As another example, Poatan vs Ankalaev was also not that exciting despite taking place on the feet.

MM throwing Ray Borg and arm barring him mid air is exciting grappling.

There's nothing wrong calling this fight boring, it was boring but cannot deny that Khamzat completely dominated this fight, if you had a sure way for you to win a UFC title fight you would taken that option.

It's just the whole "No, I'm better than you, so I get it" thing we hear from Rogan. Mighty Mouse is probably one of the two best fighters to ever do it, but his takes are almost always aligned with an algorithm spike.

If I say a Strickland fight is boring, or say a title fight like Romero/Adesanya is boring nobody bats an eye. Nobody is going around saying "Bro hates when people mix the martial arts! Go watch ADCC, go watch NCAA" because you'd look like a moron lol

Yet the moment you dare to say that holding someone's back and kneeing the thigh isn't entertaining to watch it really bothers some people lol. Ironically the most "casual" thing someone can do is to pretend that a shit fight isn't shit
