Media Chimaev and RDR teasing they'd like to be UFC 321 co-main event

TBH I dont care which of those fights is the Main and which the Co-Main, but I do think from a logical point of view that the HWs should be main, and if you have read Sherdog over the last 18 months you would know that nearly everybody wanted Tom to fight for the HW title (yes, I know it was because most wanted him to beat JBJ) and that he was mentioned at least 5x more often than KC during this time.

I cannot remember that there was ever such a big Sherdog-Lobby for somebody to fight for the title as it was for Tom, so, why now change it to KC vs RDR? Why the sudden change of mind???

Tom vs Jones was hyped fight but not vs Gane and besides Tom is already the champ now.

KC vs RDR will be the main attraction and I don´t think the UFC will put KC vs RDR on co-main.

Let's make this happen! I want to quick turn around for Khamzat, if he's good to go. Let's rumble.

I've been ragging on Khamzat for fighting infrequently and pulling out of fights, but this is honestly his best chance at redeeming himself in the eyes of the fans that criticize him for these reasons.

If he's healthy and has no injuries, he can get back in there quickly. And I understand from his perspective he didn't want to take risks, because this was his first championship. He wanted to secure that belt, so at least he crosses that off his list. Now when he fights against RDR, maybe he's willing to take more risks.

RDR and Fluffy are the two match-ups I'd like to see the most for Khamzat. I think Caio and imavov get ragdolled like DDP, but RDR got the grappling and unorthodox style that is hard to train for, and Fluffy got the all around pressure and cardio.

They probably won't end up sharing the same card but if they were, KC vs RDR is undeniably the co-main. Regardless of fan interest in the specific matchups, there's zero chance anybody is headlining over an undisputed heavyweight title fight.

We've never seen a HW title as co-main in teh UFC, but this could be teh first.

Tom'z hype went way down without Jones. He basically caught teh casual'z attention, but since teh fight never happened, it deflated a lot of that. I'm not sure if anyone doesn't know how teh Gane fight goes down. Pretty identicle to JJ vs. Gane I'd say, & so it's not even getting a reading on my interest dial.

RDR has a legit chance to nullify Borz' wrestling though, & has craftier submissions than DDP if he does get taken down... so that's much more interesting.

Some of you guys are ridiculous to think the UFC would denigrate their undisputed heavyweight title by bumping it down to a co-main lol. After the reception to Chimaev's last fight it's not a big deal if he goes down to co-main just for one fight.

Even Merab had the fight vs Umar as a co-main in between headlining two cards vs O'Malley. It's not a big deal.

You guys really are thinking too hard about this. It's the undisputed heavyweight title, it's an English guy vs a French guy in prime time hours over there. Doesn't even matter how you guys feel about the Aspinall vs Gane fight, they aren't going to make an undisputed heavyweight fight bail to the co-main / another card to make way for Chimaev vs RDR. Embarrassing to even consider that an option.

Reminder: If the UFC / Abu Dhabi were really as desperate as people here think to have the Muslim champions headline, they would've booked Ankalaev vs Pereira 2 as the main event there instead of Aspinall vs Gane.
