Aside from taking place in Space I don't know why you would compare those two.

I like them both quite a bit. Starship Troopers is a classic and Galaxy Quest gets funnier everytime I watch it. I'd give the nod to Starship Troopers if I had to pick.

I think both comedic too though ST is more dry about what it is doing. But I think they are operating on a similar frequency

Galaxy Quest for me. Starship Troopers is great. But Galaxy Quest I absolutely love.

Hard to compare. I saw Star Ship Troopers when it came out and Galaxy Quest just about a year ago. As a younger man Star Ship Troopers probably but now easily Galaxy Quest.
