If you have seen STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI, how would you rate it?

Many people cared actually, specially Asians. One of my friend told me she wasn't comfortable watching the film because of the actress. She felt like her race was represented in a wrong way. A bit insecure way of thought but I can dig her point.

Did you tell her Roses character wasnt actually born in Asia?

Admiral Holdo Gender Studies shouldn't have been in the film at all. Admiral Akbar should have been given in that role.

The further we get into the Disney Era Star Wars films the more obvious it is Kathleen Kennedy has no fucking clue what the hell she's doing.

That would have been rewarding for the audience though, and the audience would have expected Akbar to have a death befitting his stature. Weren't you surprised that his death was merely mentioned in a throwaway line? Bet you didn't expect that.

I actually think she knows what she is doing and is executing a good portion of her plan effectively. Not necessarily by making the best movies, and at the risk of alienating what came into this whole thing as her base... But she knows what she wants to do and she is doing it.

It is quite possible that JJ is being forced to write a final film in the trilogy that actually demonstrates that with women in charge, there don't have to be ANY wars in the stars.

It's absolutely disgraceful.

I maintain that she has no idea what she's doing when it comes to Star Wars itself, but I agree she knows exactly what she's doing by putting out the filth she is and slapping "Star Wars" on it. Holy hell.

Finally saw it. Better than Force Awakens. Gave it an 8.

- Token Asian Pilot Chick dropping her bombs at the expense of her own life reminded me of Major "King" Kong in Dr Strangelove.

- Leia using the Force to survive being blown into space and make it back to her ship was fucking stupid.

- Kylo's been hitting the gym; he got his Swole on for the Hemsworth Scene.

- Snoke and Phasma of Fucking Tarth were Cans.

- Admiral Vagina had a Cool Death Scene, Bro, but should never have even been in the film. Killing off Admiral Ackbar so casually was unforgivable.

- Visually striking, especially the large-scale battle scenes. The fight between Rey, Ren and Snoke's Pretorian Guard was OK, but nothing special.

- The whole, go to Space Vegas to find the hacker sub-plot was, frankly, a waste of time. They should have cut it all together.

- Rey's parentage was one big cock-tease.

- Luke going into the Force brought the Feels.

Except for one week out of every month;)

I kind of had to take my kids last night. I got to hang out with my son I don't see as often, and he wanted to see it. Ok movie for the kids, not so subtle indoctrination aside.

The theatre was full, and the people seeing it NOW are enjoying it more, because they aren't hardcore fans. They don't care about the plot or the treatment of characters etc..

So I had to give this movie like 60 bucks last night, and see it for a third time. Stupid parts were still stupid, first 5 levels of command in an army being female is fkn really stupid. Sorry, but we need to grow up again, and it is stupid. Rose allowing the door to be blown open so she could save the rebellion was maybe theeee most facepalm movie moment of 2017. Some serious "diversity" in that horrid decision. Movie was an ok popcorn flick, overall.

I should note that my smart daughter, the one who gets straight As, she left the theatre saying "I hate the resistance, I would have gone with kylo ren." She literally saw the resistance as a bunch of weirdos, and thought Ren was right about letting the wars end and leading the galaxy.

Should also note that my 10 year old who loved it on first viewing, noticed some of the bs that we bring up in here on second viewing lol. It IS noticeable.

I finally watched it. I know I have been commenting a lot in here about the movie, but I finally went out and watched it.

Things I liked:

- The actors that plays Rey and Kylo have gotten much better.
- Visuals and sounds were good.
- Po Dameron got more screen time and had more interesting stuff to do.
- Everyone thinks the Asian chick is ugly, but, I think she's gorgeous (but I have a thing for Asian women).
- Star Wars in the cinema .... there is nothing quite like it.
- The Ren/Rey romance ... this direction may be cool. We will see what happens in episode 9.

Things I didn't like:

- There was a lot of lost potential in this movie. I felt that Kylo Ren should have had a heart-to-heart scene with Leia somewhere in this movie. The scene where he was hesitating about blowing her up was really tense. I really liked that inner conflict he had, they should have built on that.

- I really don't like what they done with Luke. They kind of suggested that he was going to rape/kill his nephew, like some creepy uncle. They showed him standing over his nephew's bed with a big sword in his hand ... It was really inappropriate and it destroy's Luke's character.

- Luke was a good guy that saw a little good in Darth Vader and singlehandedly brought him back from the dark side. But, now he is going to murder/rape his nephew ... It's so dumb and gross. They destroyed Luke Skywalker.

- The Finn/Rose thing. Finn was going to sacrifice himself for his friends and go out in a blaze of glory but gets stopped in last minute ... That was dumb, dummy!!

- Snoke dying ... I didn't really care that much TBH.

- It was a long ass movie ... and it felt rushed in some parts.

- It also felt like a "Transformers/Avengers" type action flick as opposed to Star Wars ... I don't know what it is exactly, but something felt off. Luke walking out to meet Kylo at the end felt weird. Non-Star Warsy. It wasn't STAR WARS.

- Yoda was meh.

- I don't think this movie is rewatchable. TFA is the same, I can't imagine I would ever rewatch these movies.

I give this movie 5/10.

Also, from TFA, Chewbacca walking past Leia ...

They hadn't met/seen in each other in decades, they saved the entire galaxy together ... but not so much as a "hey".

Did the directors even watch the OT?

Abrams regrets distracting that scene with Chewie and wished he omitted him. That scene is about two Force sensitive people bonding through loss. I bet that despite being adequately received Abrams really wants a second chance to get it right. He said TFA was struggle after struggle to get scenes to work.

in a galaxy far, far away...only white people can be bad guys!

General Hux's speech in TFA is so obvious ... ugh, it's like Hitler's Nuremburg rallies ... White men are all evil, we get it, geeeezuz ;/

In the 2017 Star Wars Battlefront 2 by EA, the meat of the content (Weapons, heroes and upgrades) is locked away behind ridiculous hours of grinding. They were intentionally made difficult to obtain through earning currency/crafting parts to encourage players to pay to get them. You couldn't actually buy anything specifically though, you could only buy lootboxes that gave you random things, not necessarily elements that would let you obtain those things, essentially gambling. It was so incredibly nefarious that it set off a political backlash that could lead to regulatory changes at the federal level. The reaction/blowback is absolutely unprecedented

This is probably the best video behind it, def worth a watch.

I just don't have anytime for games. I would probably start playing again when I'm 65+ years old.

I only really play soccer games (the kind of game you can just pick, play and let go and get on with your day type games).
