I thought the movie was awesome and the "twist" should not have been surprising. Siths always try to kill their master, and it's usually stabbing in the back.

Id like to know why it was awesome.

And id just say this movie had no twist.

man I actually feel for him pretty hard here...

he got a bunch of flack for whatever fucking reason for not really being in TFA

then he's portraying a version of Luke he doesnt agree with...the character that MADE his career, that he is synonymous with from now until eternity.... that would be really fucking hard to portray someone you are identified as, in a way you completely/whole-heartedly disagree with....

This isn't true. I saw this movie with a couple star wars novices, and without having heightened expectations, they liked it very much. Critics were not completely wrong, they just were not completely right.

Were they children?

Thanks for legitimizing my "TLJ is like Trump" theory.

"People think this movie is a pile of shit, and give valid justifications for their criticisms? Fake reviews, this is the greatest movie ever made."

Ya, thats a bit hyperbolic, but not much. The level of denial and acceptance of totally inept, tone-deaf nonsense in this cinematic abortion is astounding.
Um ok?

I've seen Hamill on twitter, shooting down the haters. Saying people are taking certain things out of context, saying he didn't say certain things so to stop using quotes when referring to him. Not sure how old some of these vids are and if he's changed his tune, or if he's being a good Disney/Star Wars rep to promote the movie. But here's a tweet from dec 17

They've been taking his quotes out of context for like a year and a half now. Is normal.

So, I was thinking about it. Basically, Rose got Luke killed didn't she?

If Finn sacrifices himself and blows up the engine, they're safe. Luke could have shown up and been all "Oh, everything's Ok? Cool, lemme head back to the island and stay alive."

Fucking Rose.

come on, man. you're sitting here, telling me that the scene of the "mistreated" whatever the hell they were animals wasn't in there to show that people are evil? And that that might have been the best thing for them? Sure, then why did jigglypuff set them all free?

<[analyzed}>

I guess if your one of those people who sees some secret Hollywood
Message in everything you watch . I could see why you think that.

Yea this is well known they stated as much in one of the movies.
Throughout all of the sw universe it’s always been that way.

Vader numerous times plotted to take out the emporer

Palp let dooku die to get vader.

Is normal

That’s why there is the rule of two, they don’t stop stabbing each other in the back long enough to have three hahaha

The rule of two is probublay there so the other two don’t take over the master , only one strong enough to take out the master on their own deserves to be Sith Lord.

Snoke was weak, could see palp taking him out easily.

Within the fiction, the Sith is a difficult outfit to join. There's ALWAYS only two. They know that coming in. They know that SOMEONE's gonna get betrayed. It's like, "Why am I joining this .... ?" I always laughed at the idea. "AND I have to pay dues?"

This movie was so bad right out of the chute for me. Way too much emphasis on comedic relief and thrusting woman power down your throat. I know women can be fierce and independent, I got it loud and clear. Lots of bad acting and predictability. I would've loved to see Chewie kick some more ass, Poe do some more damage, more scens with Gwendolyn Christie and Benicio. Obviously they're steering this franchise towards women now.

Game of Thrones. Linda Hamilton in the Terminator movies and Sigourney in the Alien movies. All fantasic action pieces with great female leads without shoving feminism down your throat. I wish Star Wars could be a bit more like that.

I'm just hoping some of the offshoot movies can capture some of the old shine from the 80's but i'm not gonna get my hopes up.

Holy hell that was a terrible movie. Needlessly long, ridiculous plot lines, major holes and it left me not giving a shit about the next one.

A 12 man, excuse me, a 12 "person" rebellion and a new order under the command of shit powered Emo Darth Schnoz.

People were actually booing loudly during the credits.

I mean seriously I can't think of a worse movie I've seen in the past decade

1/10

Justice League, Suicide Squad, BvS, Mad Max: Fury Road....

Is Snoke even a sith? I thought Rens were some new entity.

Well, since this movie is about The Last Jedi.
I assume there is no next movie since there are no Jedi's left.
