The brand of star wars made money DESPITE KK. As far as pushing toy sales and merch, it was a colossal failure. Which was likely the intended goal.

Me thinks that since the logic doesn't add up, perhaps it's not a great time in social justice to be firing a female? Either that or she gives some REALLY good head.

Other brands do not make money like say DC, it is Superman he should make money and they missed their mark a few times with him.

I think toys sales are overall down this is why some toy franchises went away in recent years.

Not sure how much social justice really matters to CEO's and their bottom line and at the end of the day the $ always takes priority.

I saw a rumor today that said
the Aladdin Canadian Egyptian actor was cast as Ezra Bridger and on Twitter posted a pic of himself and a quote of Ezra from Rebels.

Box office totals are in a steep decline. Fan interest is way down. Solo actually lost money.

Grogo alone sold more merch than all of KK's SW. She is box office poison. She is merch poison.

Yea in decline but still more then a billion per movie.

Now it will take a few years before we get huge box officer success so the future is streaming and KK absolutely killed it with 2 season of Mando and what she has planned going forward.

I suspect PR probably does play a role, firing Kennedy at this point would most likely result in negative PR as the whole situation has become so politicized. I think its much more likely that her role on the creative side has been scaled back instead, indeed the disbandment of her story group seems to suggest that. Plus of course people Like Favreau and Feloni I#'m not sure they would want to take on her full role anyway, there most likely happy having control over whatever projects there working on.

Yea it is possible they are doing some hybrid leadership she handles everything but the creative side.. maybe we will get the gossipy details down the road.

Then again maybe that quote from Kevin Feige is more then professional courtesy / pleasantries and she really is there for the recent big win too.

Either way I hope we continue to get quality content on Disney+ until a movie arrives 2-3 years later.

In the military the CO/OIC of a unit takes all the credit for success and the blame for failure...

I imagine this is the case in the corporate world too. Disney+ Mando content was both recent enough and successful enough to save KKs job. With KK staying in charge, Feige is being a good (and smart) soldier about it publicly. You never shit on your boss in public and expect good things to happen.

But Mando was a success because it was shielded from her influence. She fought against Luke's return. LoL

Not sure.. the go to is to say everything bad is because of her and not give her any credit for the wins maybe the truth is in the middle.
