Yea it is possible they are doing some hybrid leadership she handles everything but the creative side.. maybe we will get the gossipy details down the road.

Then again maybe that quote from Kevin Feige is more then professional courtesy / pleasantries and she really is there for the recent big win too.

Either way I hope we continue to get quality content on Disney+ until a movie arrives 2-3 years later.

I mean for most of her career I get the sense thats what she did, worked closely enough with creatives that this aspect wasnt alien to her but most of her job was doing the finances and organisation to meet their vision.

They didn't go that route... but the whole story is told if you're interested.

As all that played out in the next year, conveniently attempting to take out other troubling targets in the meantime... high officials were awarded knowledge of where to go in the unknown regions.

Per the name... the locations were "unknown" because they were not known to current maps due to the chaotic nature of traveling between there & here. (you have to know a hyperspace route in order to coordinate it... otherwise you're just shooting off into random physical objects)

However the coordinates were very well known by Snoke (Via Sid's prior experiments) who was already a key player & it was Snoke's people who led the leaders of the broken empire to the unknown regions to re-build the first order off of paid & slave labor & developing a new storm trooper program from kidnapped recruited children like Fin & Lando's Daughter.

Fun story how those leaders thought they were in control & Snoke was just some guy who led them there until one day at an opportune time... Snoke just rolled in & declared himself "supreme leader" & force choked anyone who argued.

Sid used his clone Snoke & these failed leaders to build a puppet force called the First Order who would take back the galaxy for Sid. The plan was that Sid showed up in all his glory with the Exegol military, once again seeming the hero taking over a tyrannical force, Sid would re-gain the seat of ruler that the Jedi took from him by violence... (in the eyes of teh galaxy)... & he would be the once again accepted leader.

Fooking brilliant. You have to understand that military isn't enough to rule. You have to have some level of acceptance of all these people in order for them to follow you. This is what Sid's plan was.

& it would've worked if it weren't for you meddling kids.

Pretty elegant when you look at how he used his failed force to take back the galaxy & then his intention was to dethrone them to retain power at the applause of the galaxy as a whole who could easily understand that their once leader has regained his proper place.

So that's how (& why) the old empire was not only allowed to become the First Order... but was purposefully militarized with massive power by the very person who ultimately intended on taking them down, killing them all & retaining power after they failed to protect him.

This plot is every bit as deep as the prequel'z plot. Both existing as some of the deepest plots in cinematic history imo.

KK's position is the head of everything Star Wars. She gets the good & she gets the bad pov's for all of it despite the "RUMORS" that say she wasn't allowed on the mando set... which is hilarious since we have her in interviews with them in the "making of" series with her on set.

You had me nodding at Snoke as I kind of forgot about him. If anything he was ended as prematurely as Darth Maul who I think is universally considered the most untapped potential character from the prequels (until clone wars, and hopefully, Obi Wan).

Darth Maul for sure started & ended just as quickly as Snoke in the movies, though I suppose it's a little different when Snoke was supposedly the big bad. As it turns out though, he was no more the big bad than Maul was... since both were workiing for sid. So that's not much different between Lucas & Disney's version yeah? They both got limited back story & were axed quickly & unceremoniously.

It is what it is... Maul's continuation despite being cut in half... though quirky... is understandable... & we got to learn a whole lot more about him later. I would expect the same from Snoke... but in the end... they were both just minionz of Sid.... & so they're not in desperate need of back story. I'm just curious.

Hux... eh... I don't know... he was presented as a top leader, so that Kylo had someone to resist his authority until he got a vader choke. Vader just force choked his unknown leaders into submission in the OT... at least Hux had his bit of backstory. You know... we didn't have any of their backstories back in the day.

Now for Hux to be a traitor... I'll give you that I would've enjoyed some more back up on that. It's not a plot hole... because what he said was enough for me to see why he leaked info... but I would've enjoyed more. Not sure how they would've done it, because that reveal was fantastic for me. My jaw dropped to the floor opening night... so I got no problem with it. In the end, all the pieces fit & so it's all good.

I gotta disagree that the movie needed more Hux back-story. We never had any backstory on any Admiral ever inside of the movies & so this falls in line.

I would go with the obvious Kylo, except for the twist I definitely think General Hux has to be a huge part of it. Like the two of them shooting up the ranks parallel to each other and how that whole frenemy relationship unfolded.

I felt like there was plenty of backstory on Kylo. Even the Hux/Kylo dynamic was played out in their meeting together in front of Snoke. Just like the Vader/Tarkin dynamic wasn't explained... I don't think this needz it.

In the OT you see Tarkin fooking with teh fooking beast himself in Vader & we don't know why Vader doesn't just destroy him when Tarkin belittles him.

We got plenty of backstory behind all that eventually in other media that shows basically Vader was Sid's playtoy & he fucked with him constantly. So letting a master mind but physical pussy in Tarkin talk down to the fucking savage beast that Vader was... was just a part of that.

Now fast forward that to Kylo... who is just an apprentice of Snoke who is under Sid... & all that kind of makes sense now? Once Kylo is supreme leader... he still understands he needs admirals to run his ships. Kylo just took over after killing snoke... & so he doesn't want to kill him, but he wants to make sure he knows who's really in charge. That's their dynamic... & I feel the movie is self evident in all that without the need of a back story.

I've purposefully left out stuff from the novels to focus on just what the movies show us... & that's plenty. I mean we're talking about a supporting character who has rank. We don't need to know how he got that rank or how & why him & the new addition to the crew Kylo got into their cold war, but you can imagine all that. Great if they spell it out with some canon later, but I don't see why it's necessary for the movie.

its just a platform to them. By contrast, you can tell that Filoni/Favreau actually like star wars.

Filoni was literally one of George's right hand men. Favereau grew up with a passion for Star Wars the same as other people in our age group. To be at the theater on an opening night during the OT was almost a religious experience that no rerelease or sequel trilogy opener could ever duplicate.

KK on the other hand is a paper pusher more interested in breaking the glass ceiling of Hollywood and creating a legacy for herself. It was incredibly short sighted of GL to trust her with continuing his vision.

All anyone can do now is sit back and see what happens, and hope she doesn't completely fuck up what F&F started. Either way I have Marvel to fall back on. They get silly with the woke bullshit too, but at least the stories are better quality since they don't ignore what came before. Imagine that. Using your entire catalog of stories to try and give the fans something they might actually like?

I wish I could just separate the 2... but since the original vid isn't available... it is what it is & in the end it's just George standing there talking so just ignore theory'z commentary & you you can take the whole thing in.

This is a good interview explaining how SW's is more than just what you see on screen. From the beginning George built it based upon mythology... & religion... & all the things people gravitate to that which make the world we live in irl go round. That's the way I've always seen it once I grew up & recognized the associations being made & so I'm loving this interview that really spellz this out.

It's a representation of things that are going on in real life, but just put into an alternate world that takes it to the excessive levels. This could well be a warning of what could happen on earth... & the way the IMF is talking about a world currency (ie... world dominant leader controlling that currency & thus every fooking thing)... it looks like we could be on the verge of a totalitarian government. That's what Star Wars warns of.

Okay... that aside... Just prior to 8 min. Lucas describes himself as a "Buddhist Methodist"... I'm not sure what that means exactly but thought it was fun & so worth discussion. He talks about the various religions that all speak of one god, & with all the religions of the world... you have to think these are all only man's interpretations of one god... & so I think he's saying he vibes with the Methodist christian belief.... but supplements that with the Buddhism belief of a universal reality that all things are of the same substance & origin... etc... across the Buddhists views on politics which are very much for the people if they're needed at all.

Not gonna shit on your opinion, but I personally felt Grievous was too much lightsaber. Felt like it was trying to one up the previous Maul 2x Blade vs Obi and QG and then Anakin dual wielding.

Just my two cents.

I appreciated it an enjoyed it a lot. I think I agree with you though, because I personally think killing off Darth Maul was a mistake that they regretted once they found that the OG duel was not only wildly successful, but even commercially. I remember being a kid and wanting to dress as darth maul for Halloween.

He was a huge villain, and I think the GG was an attempt to kind of fill the void that was left when they killed off maul.

I’m sure there’s much deeper and well thought out reasons for his use. But that’s how I saw it when I was in my teens and the movies were coming out.

For me the entertainment value seeing it in the theaters was 10/10. But everyone’s entitled to their own feelings.

I thought a non-force sensitive (or maybe he was?) character who could use the Jedi's own weapons against them was a great Ying to that Yang. He was ruthless and enjoyed the sport of it, almost like a Kraven the Hunter type of space character.

GG always felt too cartoon-like and coupled with the way the Battledroids talked in RotS just came across as being too cheesy imo.

I like how the cartoon explained why he had the breathing problems, but I think in practice it felt more like an annoying gimmick just like Boss Nass's wiggle thing.

I think Ventress could have filled his role fine and as a bonus we could see her realized in a mainline film.
