Eh do I really have to.


It takes place right after empire strikes back. Right now I’m at the part where Luke Lando and Leia go back to Cloud City so Luke could search for his lost lightsaber. At the end of the issue I’m on Leia was just frozen in carbonite by the empire because cloud city is still under the empires control.


I’m only a few issues in but I have marvel unlimited so I plan on reading the next 5-6 issues later tonight.

Yes it is. I have marvel unlimited app like I mentioned so I read all the new Star Wars books and of course marvel titles I’m interested in on the app.

there is a new Darth Vader series Greg Pak writes and so far a lot of it has to do with Vader and Padme. Vader is on a mission to find out what really happened to Padme. He is currently with one of her body doubles trying to find answers.

Wonder if that ties in to a certain new canon Thrawn novel....otherwise Anakin needs to keep better tabs on his girl ..

well Padme is dead at this point in time. Vader is searching for clues. Captain typho is even in these issues.


This series really connects the OT to the PT. Heavy heavy PT references

all of Padmes most loyal supporters are helping vader find more clues to the real story. I’m guessing Vader has an idea Palpatine used him all this time but there is nothing he can do about it because he’s not powerful enough to defeat him.

  • Darth Vader (2017) by Charles Soule takes place immediately after RotS
  • Darth Vader (2020) by Greg Pak picks up right after ESB



these are the 3 different marvel Darth Vader titles they released throughout the years. They were maxi series

The thought of Vader cruising around with a few hotties looking for clues about his ex sounds more entertaining than it should, I'll take a look.when I finish my other projects, thanks for the recommendation.

I have a whole bunch more of these issues to read as well. I think I’ll Start at the beginning again and give you a breakdown when I have more free time.

Marvel has put out some good Star Wars stuff but I still think some of it is too comic book-ish. I wonder how much of it they’ll disregard if they need to.

Imo the Darth Vader stuff has been the best.


You would probably like the issues featuring the Lord Momin helmet. It’s filled with a dark side spirit of lord momin. Don’t put that helmet on or he’ll corrupt you.
