You really should drop this thing where you doubt everything I say.
As this point I take your word as seriously as I do Kathleen Kennedy's.
Let me ask you this... If I show you proof that George Lucas' final vision for Luke before handing the reigns over to Disney was that Luke be a secluded & self indulged hermit... will you admit that you were wrong & that I might know wtf I'm talking about?
I would have a dozen post ago, but you acted self-indulgent by demanding me to beg you to post it.
So post it, like I've challenged you to post it since you mentioned it.
I mean it's pretty telling for me to give you 100% solid proof that the haters are the minority, & you just twist it with not even sound logic. So I'm not even sure you're for real.
'Solid proof' isn't what you posted, just results from a poll of Sherdoggers who've seen the movie in theaters once. How many of them are true fans of Star Wars, and how many just go to see every big blockbuster with a large marketing budget?
In that case, I'm not surprised that the majority of the movie-going public was mostly satisfied with the sequel trilogy because they're mostly satisfied with most CGI-shitfests because they just want the typical fantasy/scifi bullshit with space wizards and big battles over a superweapon that could destroy entire planets... again... and again... and again.
So I'm not even sure you're for real. You really seem like you're making stuff up as you go. What did you do, look that shit up just now that you just posted? you didn't even know that George's version of Luke changed through development. It looks to me like you found some shit on google & then triumphantly came in here to rub it in my face before studying further.
That's not uncommon for a filmmaker to make changes to a character based on concept art, so while I didn't know that its not a surprise to me whatsoever. But that fact doesn't equal proof that Lucas had Luke be a cowardly hermit at any point during pre-production, and even if he did perhaps it was an idea he was kicking around for Luke to be defeated, down on his luck, and needed some motivation to come back... like what was promised at the end of Ep7 that Ep8 failed to deliver.
Post your proof that Lucas intended for Luke to be a cowardly hermit.
You probably didn't know that as of 2008 Lucas considered the first 6 movies the final story...

Literally everybody knew that.
When asked after Ep3 was released about more Star Wars movies he said "I'm not going to spend the last 10 years of my life making Star Wars." And "There is no Episode 7."
Okay... so what's it going to be if I show you George's final vision before turning it over was a kurtz type of character? & try to be nice while you're at it.
You're hyping this up as a giant reveal, but I bet the reality will be just as boring as your attempts to hype it.
