Eh do I really have to.


It takes place right after empire strikes back. Right now I’m at the part where Luke Lando and Leia go back to Cloud City so Luke could search for his lost lightsaber. At the end of the issue I’m on Leia was just frozen in carbonite by the empire because cloud city is still under the empires control.


I’m only a few issues in but I have marvel unlimited so I plan on reading the next 5-6 issues later tonight.

Wait, so is this replacing Shadows of the Empire? Aw for fucks sakes, these motherfuckers just can’t leave well enough alone

I think they said the vast majority of the Mandalorian was shot in the Volume, a big stage with LED screens on curved walls and ceiling.

Obi Wan's show couldn't do the same and needed a physical set of an entire village?

I don’t mind, personally. The complaints don’t seem worthwhile to me. They could turn that set into a little theme park and bring tourists to that town if they weren’t so stupid about it. And complaining about what happened to wildlife *after the fact* seems rather like what happens whenever a new development or highway or anything is built.

the word great is being tossed around rather loosely it seems.

The resistance feels like everyone thinks like they do.

Despite being in the minority, this card carrying member of the resistance thinks it's so extraordinary that anyone think different than him that he cannot even understand the possible reality that someone can enjoy the sequels enough to call them great. This is in spite of the fact that I showed polls where MANY people rated them 8 - 10.

I'd say... bro... you gotta allow yourself out of your echo chamber. this is EXTREME delusion.

That aside... I don't exaggerate about my opinion. You don't know me... as far as I know... but I will tell you honestly that I do exaggerate from time to time, if I'm dealing with a troll. I mean this whole thing about me being a beacon of light among all the hater'z darkeness is a bit of fun (although there is some truth to it) & I do get very creative when I'm dealing with haterz who are hating on me.

That said... when I talk seriously, & tell the people in these Star Wars threads what my opinion is... you can bank on the fact that I'm being 100% sincere.

I loved it as a kid and it has memorable moments/neat, colourful new characters. What did you dislike about it?

As it sits in my mind now, the game was tons of fun; I can't speak to the prose in the book but I remember it being enjoyable and creating tension really well even in spite of the fact that none of the main characters were ever under any real threat; also the comics had some great art - and it all fit well within the original story.

That was from the 90s. They’re not gonna stick with that anymore. They have a lot of things happening at marvel comics right now. If you stuck to Shadows none of it would be possible.

Like I said, using the word “great” is using the word way too loosely. If you like them that’s your business but to say “those movies are GREAT” is a real stretch.

Hell, the 3 movies don’t even connect well with each other.

first it’s a Skywalker story, then it’s a story about REY, but it’s really about emperor Palpatine. The movie just doesn’t make sense.

Yeah I loved that about Xizor. I liked that they went there and added someone like him to the rouges gallery, there was room for a harvard-bully-rapist type villain in Star Wars imo. Leia is a princess and had to have some kind of interaction with sutors and whatever else. Making him a green lizard alien was a nice touch. Gave young minds all sorts of weird visuals about what a green alien boner might do. I bet it had spikes

I disagree. I feel like all 3 are cohesive as well as them being cohesive with the other 6. I feel like it tied all 9 movies together for a fitting climax.

This is very oversimplified. none of the movies were about any one person. Rey & Kylo would be the head of the first story though.
