  2. I'll give you it was witty & a bit whimsical, but not very original at all. I've seen that response so many times that it's barely detectable as "clever" any more.

if you call me out, you better be ready to back that shit up. If you want to have a real conversation & talk about something meaningful, then I'm all about it. (this is my preferred choice of conversation) I'll spend hours researching something I'm interested in & share it with you & we can get into the wonderful world of Star Wars & have meaningful conversation.

The choice is yours as to which version of me you get. I hate bullies & a lot of the Star Wars haters are bullies when someone doesn't belong in their echo chamber... & so I get a bit of a sicc sense of gratification from backing up some jerk off that wants to try & bully me out of here because I'm not a hater like they are.

I literally feel like this every time I drop into one of these threads.



...and that's a sad thing that the haters can't mind their manners in the presence of good willing people who enjoy the latest Star Wars content.

I'm a long time fan & I'm a big fan of the sequel & Luke's portrayal.

On the real, I just had to get over "not my Luke..." admittedly, it took a few days, but once I accepted it, the story made perfect sense. Yoda even foresaw it, & Luke started off as a self defeatist brat that gives up. He rocked up for sure for a while, but his nature was shown very clearly, & that nature surfaced after the tragedy of his Jedi school & reverted back to exactly where he was when he was willing to allow Leia to die on cloud city instead of lift the X-wing out of the swamp.

Luke's a great hero because he did rock up in times when he was needed... but nothing we see here on screen is new... & in fact the Luke we see in TLJ was Lucas' idea before the sale to Disney & not the workings of a rogue director in Rian. This shit was penned out at Skywalker ranch before the sale & on their first meeting with the creative crew just after the sale.

Long story short... I think the sequels are a great story that are exactly in line with the original trilogy. You just gotta get over your hero complex & pretense of "not my Luke" to see it.

It’s great to see Mark’s passion for the role renewed. Johnson did to him in real life what he did to his character in the movie. Made him give up.

You should just let these ST wind bags blow. The only thing that counts is the here and now. And the now is that everything old is new again on television. KK and her shit story group got cold cocked by the Luke reveal. And the overwhelming positive responses has cemented that people give fuck all about the ST now that the real Luke has shown up again. That’s why she’s butt hurt they did it during the High Republic launch.

Speaking of which. For something that’s trying to be new and free of the previous stories, they sure are “borrowing” all the cool elements of the old stories to bolster their appeal.

I think they said the vast majority of the Mandalorian was shot in the Volume, a big stage with LED screens on curved walls and ceiling.

Obi Wan's show couldn't do the same and needed a physical set of an entire village?

All right then... that's my mistake if what you say is true... that we're creating a neutral platform here. that's what I want too. I have been a soldier in these threads fighting for that for 3 years now.

As usual though, I'm seeing way more of the hater circle jerk that's been around for years. I don't know where you were all these years since the last jedi got released... but I was right in the middle of it. Don't look now but these cheap shots are still coming at me. I'm just more aggressive at responding because I've been doing this shit so long while you've been off in the mayberry or wherever. Maybe you popped in from time to time & then popped out but don't try & out rank me now because you weren't there like I was.

Just saying that you're talking to a Sherdog SW thread vet & I don't remember seeing you in the trenches, so if you're going to try & regulate me now then I want to see some results or or all you're doing is blowing hot air.

I want a world where I can say at the top of my lungs as many times as I want that I love the sequels & some smart ass bully (or 10) wont pile in on me. So that's your task.
